I always keep on my bike a can of fix a flat, an extra key that I have hidden, and most important AAA card. I always keep a can of fix a flat, that I’ve never used. An extra set of keys hidden, And a AAA card.

I keep on my husband’s motorcycle an extra headband, sweatshirt, Kleenex, gloves, sunscreen, and sunglasses (other than the obvious: insurance and registration). I am in the Midwest so my list will probably be different than others.

I have a small assortment of tools to handle most needs outside of a major failure. Also in central FL I keep raingear because it is highly likely that we come upon rain at some point. For road trips I add in a jump pack for battery issues and it doubles as a USB charger for phones etc. if needed. Pack with vacuum bags to maximize space and only take clothes that are necessary. I like the way they adapted the trunk and side bags but I am not personally a fan of the emptiness of the area between seat and truck. I know many have passenger seats here however the cost for passenger seat if not carrying a passenger is silly. They need something that can cover the exposed max mount and brackets. Maybe an area that could hold a sissy bar bag for longer trips.

Thanks for sharing. I love mine that I got back in March. It was all that was needed for me to complete my Ryker. I also has a little trouble figuring out the wiring. But the big thing would have been a second set of hands for the mounting plate.

Thanks for sharing and posting this. I want to say that of course it is a good thing to have to unlock the side case as that would be my reason for buying the set; lockable storage. I do agree that it's silly to have one key for the top box and another for the sides. That is a stupid design flaw. But all in all I think it was a good, albeit expensive, buy. :)

As to what I'd carry - well you know how that goes - probably everything I can fit. LOL! I bought mine used and it has the one bag on it, small, but ok. Your reviews are very informative! Agreed. But I have seen where people use just the two saddlebags in this kit and then add the top case only when they need it.

Love your video and thank you so much for posting! I just received my set and was hoping you could possibly answer a question regarding the wiring, please: where do you feed the cables through? I know it goes from the taillights, zip tied along the lower frame by the drive shaft, and up under the seat; but where do you feed the cables between the pivot point of the swing arm (Slingmods words) and under the seat? I have been scouring KZfaq and the internet and cannot find anything. Any help you can provide would be invaluable! Thank you!

Great question! The wiring is the trickiest part! I hope I can describe this right... I ran the cables and zip tied them to the other cables that run along the swing arm from the tail lights. Right about where the pivot point is, I ran them up under the plastic piece of the pivot point and then up under the seat. I ran them through the holes that are left behind when you remove the mud flap. I used lots of zip ties. I just made sure to try not to let them touch anything that would get super hot or get the wires pinched. I hope that helps. I love this luggage set...I hope you enjoy it too! :)

Wow !!! looks like a brand new deluxe touring model. I keep earplugs, rain suit, kleenex, lightweight jacket always on my bike. So happy you got your luggage set in time for the trip. Do you think there’s enough room between the driver and luggage for a passenger, wife about 5’2”” and 150 pounds?

Did you replace your handlebars with the ergometric ones in order to reach them better? I find the original handlebars a bit of a reach. I’m only 5’2 1/2”

I got my set early as well. One of the things I don’t like about them is they aren’t keyed alike. Also, the side units can’t be unlocked with the key removed.

Agreed...doesn't make any sense for the luggage to be keyed separately. And it definitely is weird that you cannot get into the side bags without unlocking them.

The luggage runs about $900 with shipping. That includes all three pieces, the wiring, and all of the mounting hardware. I feel like you get a lot for the price.

Can the top box be moved forward to match the side box’s position?

Great question..it doesn't appear so. The system that mounts all of the bags is attached to the back of the BRP Max Mount. The nice thing is that it leaves enough space that you can put a passenger seat or even another added bag (maybe like a dry bag or something strapped into that space) for additional storage if need be.

Great question! The phone mount is the Quad Lock. I really like it...personally prefer it over the Ram Mount. Thanks i plan on getting a 21 rally loaded out, i wish i could do it now but it would be a waste and only a few weeks of riding left in the northeast well a bit more than that. I may wait till the spring....either way extremely excited.
