Opening Keynote "Can art shape the technologies of the future?"

For a decade, the Arts Technologies department at Serpentine, London has sought to challenge the role that the art field can play in the development of advanced technologies through artist-led interventions. The department operates as an integrated programme for artistic and organisational experimentation, seeking to continually augment our capabilities and develop new propositions for how art and creative R&D can contribute towards societal negotiation of technologies.
In her presentation, Kay Watson, Head of Arts Technologies will introduce the departments approach to art and advanced technologies with a focus on their work concerned with AI through the lens of commissioning, production, infrastructural prototyping and R&D.

런던 서펜타인(Serpentine) 갤러리의 아트테크놀로지팀은 지난10년 동안 예술가의 적극적인 참여를 통하여 첨단 기술 개발에서 예술분야가 수행할 수 있는 역할에 도전해왔다. 예술적이고 조직적인 실험을 위한 통합 프로그램을 운영하고 있으며 예술과 창의적인 기술개발이 어떻게 사회적 협상에 기여할 수 있는지에 대해 새로운 제안을 하고 역량을 강화하는데 지속적인 노력을 기울이고 있다.
이 강연에서 아트테크놀로지 수석인 Kay Watson은 커미셔닝, 생산, 인프라 프로토타이핑 및 기술개발을 통해 아트테크놀로지 팀의 AI관련 작업이 예술 및 기술에 어떻게 접근하는지에 대한 방식을 소개한다.
