Trade steering works on all nodes. Caravan power only on inland nodes (an extra tiny icon on the node) and only increases trade power.

Caravan Power is something like "trade ships" for land based trade nodes. Meaning you cant really put a ship to protect that trade, so you empower your "caravan" a land based trade merchant posse. It only works for inland nodes and its supposed to counter balance water based routes from being way better than inland nodes. Also i think it makes more sense to have both of you in a same save competing for trade income.

Vassals already do transfer 100% of their trade power when you transfer trade, without the arabian plutocracy reform and also the reason why workshops felt as if they did nothing is because they don't effect trade income, production efficieny only effects the production income

most people do not know but prussia has an overpowered mission which adds 1 production dev to each newly added trade province. so i think you can apply the bonus 2-3 per province by untrade companying and readding. If used late game it makes a big difference with a large amount of provinces.

As far as I’m aware you can get Thassalocracy w/o any of the normal requirements from 2 MTs, the British and the Yemeni. (British isn’t called that, but does the same)

You are right that workshops don't do anything. Production income is derived from trade value, multiplied with production efficiency, so production efficiency doesn't multiply trade income (which is directly derived from trade value)

68k is easily doable just by rerouting the roads to extend as much as possible trade length. With modifiers you can easily stack up to 100k month.

You should value trade eff higher. You can see the value of you 113% trade efficiency in antwerpen. You steer with 368% steering bonus at the end of you chain 30.000 trade value ducats into antwerpen, with the local production of the node, you have 30232 total "trade value income" in the node. Now you increase this 30232 with your "trade eff 113%", so you multi it with 2,13, to 64.394 ducats. So here you get 34400 value increase. So Trade eff is with 25% of the value of steering, clearly better, than your trade steering points on your chain, even with nearly The reason why you collect 68185 ducats, and not 64400, you have also a trade on collect, which has a extra 10% trade eff bonus, so you have in reality 30232 with (2,13+0,1) = 67417 ducats. The last 600 ducats, no idea, were you got them. But you get, trade eff beats trade sterring at the end of the chain 4:1. And my opion, you should get 100% trade power in your endnode, no need for a trading city there. Your 68185 ducats equal 99%, so 1% share is 688 ducats. The trade city in Antwerp gives you 2% sterring bonus, so your 30232 are based on 368%, without the town, it would be 366%, and you loose ~ 100 ducats on your chain through 2% less sterring. So overall, the 1% control loose in your collecting node, equals roughly 500 ducats total income loose. But on this, me could wrong, and a save game testing is needed.

So they can speed colonize and conquer india/china/indonesia from 1460+, and still can play the normal HRE game. He should be slower on getting prag for speed forming the HRE in 1500, but should be far more developed in conquest of named regions. Austria can get the claims on india, china, the moment they get a asian province, but they should be slower in getting the colo range for pushing into the "production" nodes of your chain And Netherland VOC is cheesy, too. If i remember right, you can buy a province as "trade charter" for 600, than grant it to VOC, than buy again for 600 (because you lost the trade charter province). so rince and repeat for money expansion.

next time i play venice im going to be a little more aggressive with making trade cities and protectorates. people definitely sleep on trade protectorates

Vassals always give you 100% trade power from diverting trade. It’s not unique. I heard you say that in stream but thought someone was gonna mention before me. Every game I get vassals and focus trade I use divert trade and it’s always 100% it’s only 50% when asking or forcing thru war
