11:00 - LOL looks "KISS good". Pump up Anti-Gravity to 10 or 15 and throbbles will be mint. AG is so easy to tune now. If you go to high, you will immediately know it as the quad will oscillate when you move the throttle rapidly. Move it up till just below that point and not KISS'ish throbbles.

From my 7 years experiences, the ultimate maneuver to test PID tuning is rapid 90° roll or flip, as fast as you can. If you do it continuously on either the same or opposite turning direction (roll 90° right then roll 90° left) then it would also test how hot the motors can be from flying. If the PID is off, motors can be really hot even with just 2-3 times of this maneuver. I have 2 six inches KISS quads with small motors(2208) that fly great in almost any maneuver but this 90° rapid roll or flip. I give up on finer tuning them. It is interesting how would your great flying, BF4.3, 6 inch quad perform doing this 90° maneuver.

heh that 20k RPM idle must of been exciting... If you raise Idle does that scale up the throttle? effectively lowering hover lower in throttle ? say idle is 10% would 1% on your stick travel now be 11% or is it just 11% until the stick gets to 11%? Conversely if you lower your idle, would that raise your hover point? (hope that is clear..) so if you wanted 40% hover on all your quads. you could tune with idle rpm.

DJI has a lot more sensors. Optical flow. Downward facing camera. Sonar. Etc. Betaflight has GPS and baro only. Also, Betaflight is not focused on autonomous flight. You might as well ask why DJI is so bad at racing and acro. Each firmware is good at what it's good at.

Why not just raise master multiplier to 2.0? (instead of P&I and D gain to 2.0 :D same effect). Chris Rosser tuning advice seems ok here :).
@JoshuaBardwell2 жыл бұрын
I started by raising P/I to see how the P gain alone affected the bounceback. After reaching the limit of that value, I started raising D to try to adjust the P/D balance. That was just how my brain thought about the tuning process.

@@JoshuaBardwell Habits and feeling :) I understand. You end up with equals value :) then Chris assumption about P I D default ratio are fine for our quads is verified ;). Now you could raise master to 2.0 (reset P/I and D slider) and then try to increase P/I and D slider to go further :D.
