I love all the comments from members of the ancient holy Catholic & Apostolic Church, true holy Christendom. To answer this for Gendron since he is so ignorant & misreps the holy faith in many aspects, but there absolutely is born again believers, the only such believers born of water & spirit in the holy Catholic Church, its beautiful, were baptized into the holy faith as Children of God then God willing will be catechised & live the faith out as partakers of the divine nature, given we abide in Christ & do not fall away & shipwreck our faith

All i will say is this. The light gets brighter for knowledge towards the end. Catholics hang on to traditions that started in the 300s and 400s that were not part of original teaching. The Catholic Church has tried to make themselves the sole authority of scriptures that they are not.

I was Protestant my whole life. Becoming catholic in April 8th! Catholic Church is truly the fullness of God if you do your research. I pray that your hearts would be open! Once you do some research on church history and the reformation. It’s not that difficult to see that the Catholic Church is the true church of Christ!

Catholic church teaches faith through grace is what's needed to be saved. It's in the Catholic catechism which literary explains everything about the church, what it believes and why. Catholics believe you can. Lose your salvation by not following Jesus command to love others. Which is a "work". If you don't believe that works is required to prove your faith (that you've received from His grace) read James 2 (faith without works is DEAD), Romans 2, Titus 1:16; Titus 3 and Genesis 22. You can't do enough works to get saved and go to heaven, but you can lose that grace and this your salvation by not doing His good work. Abraham had to prove his faith through the "work" of killing his son. God tested Abraham's faith. Faith without works is dead is what the Bible says. If you don't believe what the bible say, your making up your own Christianity. Answer this one question if you want to know the most Holy Church on earth, who created the Bible in 382 AD? If you believe in the Bible, do you believe in the ones who created it? Did Jesus write the Bible for us to read, or did Jesus start a Church built on Peter and the pillars/apostles who preached by word of mouth? Did Jesus leave us a Bible who started a church, or did he leave a church built on His apostles that created a Holy Bible? Do you know the history of Christianity? I bet your pastor doesn't.

We Catholics have a proverb always proven true in reality about one’s width of reading, depth of study, and height of understanding of the Bible and where this leads to: “Weak Catholics become Evangelicals; Strong Evangelicals become Catholics.” Mike was a weak Catholic. You Evangelicals who follow him evangelizing Catholics, I invite you to read, study, and understand the Bible ever more fully. (Emphasis on the "fully," meaning completely from Genesis to Revelation and its biblical theology, not just the isolated clobber texts you are trained to throw at us Catholics!) I think the point that goes over most people's heads is that he left a Catholic church that was not rooted in the truth of God. I don't believe every church of every denomination is pure and holy. There are many wolves in sheeps clothing, unfortunately, we are in the last days, and it's very sinful and corrupt out here. Let's not be distracted by pride over “your” church that you miss the message. Not every physical church is God’s spiritual church. The body of Christ is spiritual, not physical. God calls us to worship him in spirit and in truth.

Being born again of water and spirit has always met baptism. It is unanimous among the early church fathers. Any other interpretation was started by John Calvin, and the protestant reformation. It is not biblical being born again I repeat, being born again of water in spirit is baptism.

For those in the comments discussing their conversion to Roman Catholicism, why did you choose the RCC over the Eastern Orthodox Church? What was it that convinced you of the supreme authority of the bishop of Rome? Because both churches pretty vehemently argue that they are the one true holy apostolic church and both will claim they can support that historically, yet the completely disagree on the papacy.

Simple. Peter was the first pope. First leader, one among equals, but still a leader. Once you reject that, you have the divisions like in the Orthodox Church, with different countries/patriarchs disagreeing with each other.

Did Jesus lie for 1500 years after His Ascension? NO! We are born again through baptism as the Catholic Church teaches in John 3:5, Acts 2:38-39, and Ephesians 4:4-6. Baptism erases original sin and let us not forget St. Paul baptized entire households including babies.

If we can baptize babies and say that they are born again, with that logic, we can also baptize people who are in the hospital, in coma and they will too be born again. Right? An infant knows nothing and is not aware of anything but still priest says: you are now a child of God, you are born again, you are saved. But is it true? Bible says: "That if you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." So, can baby confess with mouth? Can baby believe in her heart?

WE MUST BE BORN AGAIN You are born again when you are like Jesus. Then you are sinless 1 John 2: 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. We must be born again! Then Jesus has baptized you with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit do not let you sin anymore!!! To become born again you have to repent and ask Jesus forgiveness for your sins or ask Jesus in your heart! A really born again Christian has no future sins!! He is perfect, righteous and the light of the world. Please study : 1 John 3, Romans 6:6, Romans 8, Gal 5, Eph 4 , Eph 5 and Titus 2:14! I’ll give you my testimony: 16 May 2011 , I asked Jesus in my heart. I was ill at the time. Overstrained or burne out and very restless. I then felt a vibration going through my body from my head to my toes. Immediately afterwards I became very calm. The next morning I was again very restless. This lasted about a week. I then had a dream that I lived in a prison. And a voice then said to me that the devil had to get out of me. I then prayed for the devil to leave me. Immediately afterwards I felt that same vibration from head to toe again and at the end of it a voice said: you are now free! and now start reading the bible. Suddenly I felt a lot of peace and love. I was changed from a sinful, selfish person to a born again Christian with a lot of love for the other. And experienced a lot of rest. When Jesus has made you free, you are free from sin and free from death. Afterwards my illness was the best thing that happened to me

The "Born Again" movement began in the early 1900's. Research its history. The Protestant-based country of the USA never had a leader proclaiming the title "born again" (and meaning something other than baptism) until Jimmy Carter in 1976.

@@BZman7 Catholicism preaches a false Gospel. And Paul says anyone who preaches a false Gospel, let that person be accursed. Galatians 1:6-9. The Council of Trent Canon 32 States "If any one saith, that the good works of one that is justified are in such manner the gifts of God, as that they are not also the good merits of him that is justified; or, that the said justified, by the good works which he performs through the grace of God and the merit of Jesus Christ, whose living member he is, does not truly merit increase of grace, eternal life, and the attainment of that eternal life, ...and also an increase of glory; let him be anathema." We do not earn grace, we do not earn salvation, we do not merit salvation or grace, we do not deserve grace thus it being grace, and we do not deserve salvation or eternal life. It is a gift. Ephesians 2:8-9 says "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast." We can not boast because we do not earn nor deserve eternal life. Catholics can never know if they will go to Heaven because they think they have to do good works to go to Heaven and they think they merit grace and eternal life. But it is a gift of God as Ephesians 2:8-9. We can know we have eternal life. 1 John 5:13. This is the Gospel: The Gospel means the Good news. But before I give the good news I have to tell you the bad news so you appreciate the good news. The bad news is all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23. We know we all sinned and we know what sin is. And the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23. It’s like a judge paying a criminal that killed people, death for their crime. God is doing the same thing. We deserve death because of our sins. If you ever lied, stolen, hated, committed blasphemy (used God’s name in vain), killed, lusted, had pride in your heart or any other sin in your life you sinned against God and deserve death. But the good news is you can be forgiven by the grace of God. Most people know Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins but they do not know this, and if you can get a grip of this it will change your life forever. The 10 Commandments are called the moral law, you and I broke the law, but Jesus paid the fine. That is why Jesus said “it is finished” right before he died, he was saying paid in full. In court, if someone pays your fine you can leave and it is legal. God can legally take the death sentence off of you all because of what Jesus did on the cross. Then he rose on the third day according to the scriptures ( 1 Corinthians 15:4) and defeated death itself, and if you simply repent and put your trust in Jesus, you have God’s promise and he can not lie, that he will grant you everlasting life. Ask God to change your heart and your desires to love what is right not what is wrong. That’s what it means to be born again. Jesus said unless you are born again you will not see the kingdom of God. John 3:3. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior and pass from death to life all because of God’s mercy, it’s a personal miracle that you can be radically changed from loving sin to loving God. God is gracious and he will provide. 2 Chronicles 30:9. Philippians 4:19. Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find. Matthew 7:7. Jesus is calling all to repent. Acts 17:30. Jesus said repent or likewise perish. But God is not willing that any should perish but all come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9. Jesus wants to have a relationship with you. It’s not about religion. All these other gods are fake and Satan distracting you from Jesus. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father but by me.” John 14:6. “God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. God bless. Repent and put your truth and faith in Jesus Christ. That is the Gospel. Catholics do not believe in being Spiritually born again and God changing your desires renewing your heart to love what is right vs what is wrong. But Jesus said unless a man is born again, he will not see the kingdom of God. John 3:3. So ask God to change you and to convert you to love what is right not wrong. Ask God for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will convict you of your sins and guide you to all truth. John 16:8, John 16:13. God bless. Repent and trust in Jesus

If one goes to church on Sunday, they are just as Catholic as the Pope. Romans 6:15-16 Protestantism is obedience to the same authority. It may be less obedient. But, it is obedience just the same. Having different opinions about the nature of God, or soteriology is irrelevant. Whom does one obey? That is their God. If one observes Ramadan, his God is Allah. If one observes Passover, his God is YHVH. If one observes Christmas, his God is Saturn. Changing the name of the holiday from Saturnalia to Christmas did not displace Saturn. It only reduced Jesus to his level.

but yet the followers of Christ met everyday. ig they worships every God then right according to ur logic? in the Didache the 1st century teachings of the Apostles, says to meet every Sunday.

@@ty_m02 No human person has the authority to change YHVH's Law. Whatever claims are made by whatever literature you want to believe is entirely up to you. But, the voice from heaven in Revelation says of Babylon, "Come out of her, my people, that you do not partake of her sins, and receive her plagues." Jesus is calling HIS PEOPLE OUT of Babylon. The Babylonian sun god worship system was inherited by the Romans. Renaming pagan feasts and doing them to honor YHVH is mixing the holy and the profane. It is the knowledge of mixing good and evil. Jesus obeyed His Father. Following Jesus is obeying His Father. Sin is transgression of the Law. 1 John 3:4 Loving God is keeping his Commandments, and it is not hard. 1 John 5:3
