Brian could not beat Levin #1, and #2 brain is use to the big bucks from what he's doing now. There isn't any $ or fame or fortune to be made in Arm Wrestling, so I'm sure he's not going to waste 3-4 years training for something that isn't financially rewarding.

@@metaldetectingoutlaw8389 there are sponsors for arm wrestling and money to be made. these men are making money from it plus he already would still be contracted. Its not a matter of money which brian already has. it is a matter of training and the result of said training and his max potential.

@@Aunt_Devan Levan's body struggles to be as large as it is, his breathing is always labored and he damn near went into cardiac arrest in his match with ermes. The dude was 165 lbs at one point lmao. Brain on the other hand, he's been a big man all his life. And he walks around comfortably at his bodyweight. Not to mention the difference in leverage as well. I also disagree with age being a factor. Brain is still blowing competitive strongmen out of the water at his age and no longer training strongman. And he was still in the top 3 (if i remember correctly) last year at the WSM. Armwrestling has a ton of longevity and with brain being so large and so strong naturally, i think he'll be a threat to levan in a couple of years of serious training

I'm with you -- give him 2-4 years of intensive technique-specific training and I think he'd be *competitive* with most super-heavyweights, if not Levan. I don't think the 'connective tissue gap' is as big as some might think -- strongman takes a lot of weird strength and conditioning that normal powerlifting and weightlifting does not feature (e.g., keg toss, loglifts, Atlas Stones, farmer's carry, etc.). Combining that with Brian's overall strength and conditioning (*overall, not in arm wrestling specific movements or training*, Brian's strength and conditioning exceeds Levan's, and I don't think it's particularly close) and work ethic, he'd be a competitor to be reckoned with sooner rather than later.

i think thats something a lot of people look over. Levan struggles to be as large as he is, most of his weight gain and size isn't natural, considering he was half the size he is now just a few years ago is a dead giveaway he's just a hyper responder to PEDs. On the other hand I don't think Brain has been 165 lbs since middle school lmao. He's always been a big man naturally and I think that's where he has way more potential than levan. Brian is currently *trying* to slim down and he's still 400 lbs. At his peak he was what... 470? Point is, brain can absolutely start knocking on levans door in a few years of serious training, we're talking about one of if not the strongest human to ever walk the earth. It's plausible that it might take too long for him to step in and start competing in matches. The longer he waits, the more that window of opportunity closes because these pros never stop training and pushing themselves. Oh course they take rest days and that's when the real strength is made. When all the torn muscle tissue is repairing itself to be bigger and stronger.

I want to see Vytautas Lalas get into it. He used to compete in armwrestling so he's got the technique and definitely the strength. I bet he'd be dangerous. But the thing about devon is, he's not considered one of the real power guys. Whether that was his strongest ever or not.. still no where near Dave chaffee or cyplenkovs power. @@d_no_allyn_86 Devon definitely had better rising than Cyplenkov and Chaffee. He most likely had better pronation than Chaffee, not sure about Denis. His back pressure sticking point was also stronger than Daves, maybe even stronger than Denis'. His side pressure was considerably weaker than both. You can not be top 3 in the world without having incredible strength. Devon is incredibly strong, Brian cannot get to that level of strength, ON THE TABLE, in 3-5 years span. Brian may be able to lift more on rising or pronation than Devon in 5 years, but on the table Devon uses 99%+ of that strength, while Brian would use more like 70-90% of that, thus resulting in a huge power difference.

If Brian does focus all his time in armwrestling; he would still have to keep up his strength training; such as the big 6, and accessories, besides armwrestling exercises and techniques, right? Otherwise he would strink, loose strength and structure. He would be better off slowly implementing it and then finding a good balance between the two but obviously can do plenty of technique/armwrestling table training, and not specifically pronate curling cables on a AW table? That would exhaust his arms, and affect his training unless he considers additional rest days and recover methodologies.

If they traded bodies he could with levans knowledge . Bryan already does hand training . He will after strongman

Not right now of course not but if he dedicates 100% to the sport, give Brian 2-3 years and he will certainly let give Levan problems.

there’s prolly at least dozens of huge strong men around the world that are bigger and stronger than levan, but that has nothing to do with arm wrestling technique…. however if he could dedicate 5+ yrs he could be a force for sure especially with his hand strength

If Brian Shaw Trained with the right guys like a Devon Larratt or a John the got for a few years straight He would probably be a big problem. In the Super heavyweight division

I'd say 5 years of serious training and coaching at the minimum.

Arm wrestling is not some huge science, lock wrist, learn a few techniques, and Shaw’s raw power will do the rest. Personally I’d like to see Shaw enter slap fighting, would love to see fighters flying through the air lol

Most of the guys in this comment section don’t understand the absolute raw power of Brian Shaw. not to mention leverage guy has huge arms. Obviously arm wrestling is extremely technical but other guys have transitioned pretty fast.

Depends. If they do strongman, brian beat Levan. Armwrestling, levan. And it would take 8+ year of dedicated armwrestling only to close the gap. If he dedicated from young age like Levan. He would be monster for sure

lmao Levan went from being normal size to huge in a few years time. Brian would destroy him.

Brian Shaw is arguably the strongest man to ever live. If he announces that he's gonna focus on arm wrestling I'm backing him all the way.
