I used my old phone number for my wifi password a while back but I'd tell it to people in two digits like that and they wouldn't ever notice. You always tell your number as 3-3-4 digits so to hear it or see it as 2-2-2-2-2 makes it seem like a totally different number!

I did this on a friend of mine. Halfway through I said I’ll text him the answer, so tell me his number, and the fuck literally read his number out while looking at the paper, unaware he said the answer. When he finally got his answer, I was chased around the building for about ten minutes

Ah, I thought it was 42. It just so happens that in both columns of numbers, they have the same numbers as eachother, but the left also has 2, the right, 4. So I thought, put the missing number in each column, 4 and 2 are left. It's super famous and common, one of the first to be guessed as a random number, and Brian surely knows it.

Back in the 80's, I used to write my 10-digit phone number as five pairs of numbers with dots (.) in between: 55.53.21.43.21, similar to an Ethernet address. I called it a "telenet address", but most people didn't understand :( so I had to stop doing it. So when I saw this video, I was like duh! What a blast from the past!

I thought the answer was 42 and that all the pairs of number came from the source number 80342 (28 loops from the end to the beginning), and that the reason Brian would definitely know the answer was because they knew for a fact that Brian has seen Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy.

I like the idea that no one ever even tried to add the numbers. That very well could have been the answer, but since there's this set up that it's a brain teaser, most wouldn't even think to try it.

Funny thing is, i looked at it, and i thought it was a 0 then a phone number, but then i thought that they wouldnt put their number on screen, so i tried to figure out a puzzle, just to find out my random observation was actually right, so i spent a long time figuring out something i got right way earlier lol

I figured it was probably something like a phone number, that's the closest I've ever gotten.

I guessed it was possible, although I don't know Brian's number... however it rang my bell. A variation of this is a silly practical joke when someone ask you to dictate them a phone number from a third person or a company, you can tell them their own number but with the digits grouped in an uncommon way, so let's say your victim's number is 432-2345, you dictate someone's else number as "forty three... twenty two... thirty four... five" and it's after you give them the dangling last digit that they say "wait a moment...".

If you take each column separately and do 8-0+2-3=7 0-3+8-4=1 71.... then i read a comment below about phone number... lol. Best I watch the rest... but I like what I've made work, lol... so may use it as part of a bigger puzzle :)
