This reminds me of an Incident I had with my teacher, She gave us something to write like an essay or smth idrc , but it was related to politics and wasn't an assignment, or something for which we would get points or credit or anything it was just boring stuff you do in a class. English class was right after her class and I had to do some grammar hw so I just started doing that instead of the essay What I didn't anticipate was that after sometime she would walk to every desk and check the progress but I didn't panic when that happened and tried looking like I was realy indulged in the essay (that I wasn't even writing) hoping that she would not look at what I was doing but that didn't happen, So she walks over at my desk takes a good 15 sec look at my grammar hw and simply says ,"I thought you would get more work done but what ev" and walks away I was like wtf?!! That was a time when either her attention-span was too small or she genuinely didn't give an F

When mothers say they feel like they have to parent alone, this is what they're talking about.
@boopdoop2251

Some men think they provide a paycheck and their parenting is done. Meanwhile women are expected to work and remember everything about their kids and keep a clean home and look perfect. Men and women both face sexism still, and you can see it by the people saying “that’s just how Dad’s are” in these comments, as if it really is only up to women to be parents.

I am one of six kids. My mom was a stay at home mom and my dad worked ALL THE TIME. He was a police officer, worked countless hours, lots of overtime, overnights...I barely saw him because he worked so much. He still knew everything about us. He knew our friends, our teachers, our sports, our coaches, our birthdays, our ages...everything.

The thing is, if your children are your "muze" (so to say) then you will want to know everything about them. Like a schoolgirl that listens to Czechian rap, no matter how many homework-assignments, she _will_ find time to learn Czechian raps if she is interested in that. As long as the dad is interested in the children's lifes, he will be able to remember most of the important details and actively listen to them, the highlights will be there in his mind.

@@Sam-dt8pp I think you mean, "Irish twins". Which I believe, if I'm not mistaken, is not really a "nice" way to put it. I have a niece that gave birth twice in the same year, not twins. Had a baby in January, and about eight weeks later was preggo again, gave birth in December or November, I can't remember but, her dad,(my brother) referred to them as such, first time I've ever heard that term. So, to the op, yes, she nailed it! To the commenter about "two babies-one year", yes, you can have two babies in one year, to Samantha, you might not want to continue using that term. My mom is the breadwinner in our family. Because she has to go to Europe for work, our dad is the stay at home parent who takes us to doctor’s appointments and such. My mom still knows our birthdays, our schools, what color our eyes are. So, when I see these dads not knowing anything about their kids, I cringe. They can’t use the “well I am always at work” because my mom could be gone for weeks on end but still make it home for our XC races. I feel bad for the kids who have fathers that thinks it’s ok to be ignorant of the most basic details of their life.

My father is a keeper. Not only he never forgot our birthdays (he was always the first one to say happy birthday in the morning) but also he worked all his life 6 days a week, from 8h to 20h. Dads have a lot to worry about, celebrating a birthday is fun, but if you have 5 kids, that means you have around 40 birthdays to celebrate, with time they get repetitive, for the kid it's the one big day, for the dad it's just another party to organize and take care of.

I find it very sad when you as a father do not know the simplest things about your child. You should want to know that out of your own interest. Another thing that this experiment brings is a lot of sad children because they might get the feeling that they are not really paid attention to. That certainly hurts when a close person doesn't know anything about you. The other way around is certainly different.

Lol! Definitely moms got a lot to remember and think about, ppl say "DADs are at work" but MOMs are working so hard to make sure their little kids, the house, food, health care are all good, most of time moms even forget about themselves in order to make sure everyone is doing okay. And still, moms ain't no right to make a mistake bc the society always has something to say about it. Me thought overall is that Moms should give some of their "work" with kids to dad everyday bc they grow up so fast and won't be able to enjoy them later. MOMs you don't have to do it all alone. You can take a rest! You got to be a team! The best team! You watch dads back and dads watch yours. And so you guys are be able to make it. ❤️✨ Much love.

My dad ist the complete opposite: not only does he know my birthday, he knows the exact time when I was born, birth weight and every other detail of my birth story. I'm 33 now and I'm so lucky to have the most loving and involved dad anyone could wish for.

My dad remembers my brother's and my birthdays and even other significant people's birthdays too. Though sometimes he still mixes up my circles of friends like he gets confused who are my friends from high school, college and work friends. But he knows what degree I took in college, where I work and all that. ❤

Once a friend of my father asked him ,which class i was in, for 20 second he looked at me for the answer before I answered high school 😂😂😂. And my whole family forgot my birthday including extended family, i have over 100 family members. Luckily now I have a niece who was born on same day as me, so people wish her and then remember by afternoon that my birthday is also the same day. 😂😁
