Nah I agree with ESPN. When you know your team needs you and yet you consistently make the same mistake over and over again, you're being SELFISH. That's all they're saying. The only reason why Klay is being so nice is because that's his teammate and he loves him as a brother. And like he said "me and Steph are TOO nice."

Klay’s response was soft & lukewarm at best. He’d never put Draymond or anyone on his team on blast. What’s really weak isn’t even that. It’s Draymond using his platform to monetize his unprofessional behavior. If he really cared he could’ve & should’ve asked Klay that question in private. This podcast era has folks treating personal matters like a TV drama series to be consumed by the public. And the fact that Draymond said be brutally honest & expected the worst feedback is because he knows that he deserves it. So he didn’t need to ask. As Shannon said very accurately, “the sincerest apology is changed behavior”. Draymond’s apologies are as worthless as a $3 bill because he hasn’t changed. If everyone on the team & in the organization answers Draymond like Klay did, it’s no wonder why he hasn’t changed.
@real_Hamilton

That's because what ESPN is saying about Draymond is also true. When you consistently allow your own emotions to get in the way of what's best for the team, you're being selfish. That's all they're saying. They never said Klay was wrong for having the stance that he has. They know Klay is his teammate and he loves him as a brother so obviously he's gonna approach it differently

I think people significantly underestimate the level of competitiveness and energy that it takes to bring to a team what drey brings. When you are on that razors edge, it can be much harder than people understand, not to tip over the edge. Clearly he has to find a way to be more stable in those moments...but their is a reason why calm guys that don't bring a huge amount of energy...particularly defensively, don't generally get ejections. If you look back at league leaders in ejections, they are mostly defensive players that are high energy, and played on the same edge dreymond does....this is not a new thing. (bigist exception that comes to my mind is Cousins who was mostly an offensive player, though, he was a much better defender prior to his injury's.) the other exception would be kd, though, in the season he got the most tecs(with the warriors), he was being asked to take on a significantly bigger defensive role than was his norm, and was excelling.

Honestly, no one should have to tell Draymond what it's like without him at this point. In every controversial action or work by Draymond, the Warriors decided to keep him. Consequently, Draymond continually does stuff to test the limits. I'm actually disappointed with Draymond because, over the summer, he joined a show with PG and said that because he lost confidence in his shot, he wouldn't take open ones. I thought he would find a mid-range jumper or some other shot he'd feel comfortable with to alleviate the pressure on Steph and Klay at the end of games and particularly in the playoffs. That would have been helpful in the game against Dallas recently when the defense sold out to stop Steph and Draymond was roaming alone but wasn't considered a viable option.

Let’s be clear, some of Draymonds and other players excessive referee whining is insufferable to watch every single game…. But again, people legitimately acting like he needs to be admitted into inpatient treatment; a person who’s been in zero trouble in actual life, is insane and honestly wouldn’t be happening if wasn’t a guy named Draymond Green from Michigan. A current presidential candidate personally is responsible for 5 people being killed….
