Must say, that’s a really smart idea for a dunk contest. Love this concept. Also, you can’t claim controversy because the crowd is literally judging.

It’s a terrible idea bc like Troy said fan favorites will tend to get more cheers than other players and also imagine if one of the participants is playing in his home team’s stadium

There’s just a lot of bias when it comes to letting fans pick and it’s also not the best way to judge in close situations where it’s 50/50

This is a terrible way to judge a dunk contest. There is no way to measure the cheers obviously, it is just guesses that's why it's all 99s and 98s it's all guesses and if you win it's either luck or the people putting the scores up after the cheering is fixing the competition for you
