After playing for 7 hours with just a 1 hour break and they played 5 different teams on a completely different timezone, im actually surprised on how close they made it even after being around 5k gold behind for so long, actually insane.

Riot should bring back League All Stars and just make it better and with more famous pros and teams to they can play for fun without pressure and everybody will enjoy. Imagine if 2 players from G2 will swap place with 2 players from T1 and fight. Lots of things can be fun if you think about it!

Honestly glad T1 accepted to entertain this event. T1 had everything to lose and nothing to gain yet still came for entertainment and they served!

It's funny as a korean that most of the korean LOL community doesn't give a F about the results of the redbull match but the western communities are fighting to their deaths. It was just a fun match where T1 wasn't 100% and G2 played really well. G2 deserved the win.

Fans made this g2 vs T1 match more serious than it was. I love when all of the players were laughing during the earlier matches. The last two games they just looked tired already. The non T1 games should be done earlier so that T1 can at least come in later and stay for shorter duration. But it's funny that they came for event fun matches while everyone else is tryharding to beat them. All the perks of being world champ 😂

I felt the event was a bit awkward at times, and the crowd was a bit lackluster and rude at other times. They handicapped T1 for 4 matches, but ‘removed’ it for the 5th match, yet they played for 6 hours and were fatigued going into the 5th game. I know it was a for fun tournament, but even Zeus said he felt the other teams were being a bit of tryhards

I know this was supposed to just be an exhibition match. But good lord, the KC fans booing Faker of all people, and some eSports news websites publishing crap like "G2 demolished T1, the World Champions"... all of it took off the fun part of it all since for some reason EU was trying to grasp for straws glazing their own teams in a show match for fun.

I believe that T1 played for fun, especially the first few games when they had to be careful with their pics as all 10 champs from that round would be banned for the upcoming games. When they played against G2, all the previous bans were lifted. However, it was just a Bo1, they played the entire day until that point, just flew across a few days ago. You can't just play Bo1's to prove that you play well against a team.

As a T1 fan, I'm already used to people (especially EU and LPL fans) feeling superior after beating them even if it's a for-fun game. Beating T1 in any kind of event is already an achievement for some teams so let them enjoy it. 😂

Oner, Gumayusi, and Zeus were yawning since Kcorp's match and Keria was already bedge since the start xDD. Korea and Germany have an 8 hour time difference so by the time T1 played G2, it's already 1 or 2AM in Korea while it's just 6 or 7PM in Germany. T1 will probably not go to another show match like this unless they accommodate to the players' jet lag. There's a reason foreign teams go to worlds 2 weeks or more prior to the event, not just for boot camping but for body conditioning. They also fking missed Bang's wedding because of this event ffs

The exhibition match was a happy ending for everyone involved. LCK could see more of T1's circuses, LEC won the last game with G2, and even Redbull wouldn't have expected (on the day they supposedly signed the contract) that T1 would win 2023 Worlds and then visit Europe with the exact same squad. The match was for everyone to have fun, but the LPL could have been a bit sad looking at the results, because all four best teams from the LPL only managed to win the same number of game against T1 on 2023 Worlds, as the LEC on an exhibition match against the same T1 in Europe having fun as a guest: ONLY ONCE.

In case anyone doesn’t know, most of the kr to english translations were off and usually made t1 seem cocky lol. Legit the first translator that actually didn’t translate well.

matches with handicaps create a weird environment...if the team thats favored by the handicap wins, they get flamed for tryharding against a handicapped team, if they lose they get clowned on for losing even with such a handicap. I like that theyre doing for fun tournaments, but I think its better to figure out a way that doesnt involve handicaps, it just generates too much salt from the fanbases of all teams involved.

i don't even care if T1 succeeded to win over all those teams or not. to think that T1 partaking on this kind of event, knowing that the fact Faker has arm injury and they keep pushing it for 7 hours marathon is stupid and ridiculous. the crowd doesn't even goes that hype, there's no bgm when both team start picking, all the teams "fighting" each other inside a "chicken size" arena, long delay before game 3. and who cares about the "fans", who cares about the guy who took a bus for 9 hours just to watch them fight in a small chicken arena. let alone that guy who took 12 hours. the only moment that is so fun to watch for me is Oner's Briar. after that, i can't even keep myself awake to see T1 vs G2 because how boring the event proceeds. besides, this event will only give some fans a big ego to brag about. if T1 win 6/0 then some of those T1 fans will brag about it for weeks. if random teams or G2 win, then EU fans will do the same.

I loved watching these matches. It was clear all the players were happy to be there and play against each other. I definitely think the thing that separates the pros from rank grinders is their genuine love and enjoyment of the game. Personally I can’t fucking stand playing league more than one match lol. I’m just happy these players got to have fun and face each other. I wish others shared more with that sentiment especially the crowd for booing…

As I’m reading through the comments, I can’t believe how many people take this event match so seriously. Sure, this event was executed poorly, which led to T1 being exhausted, but that doesn’t mean that G2 did not play this game very well. I feel like people should just agree that G2 showed respect to T1 by playing properly against them and T1 tried their best to put up a good match.

It is shocking to see some EU/G2 fans who actually believe that they 'could have won Worlds' this year (or at least had a chance to be the best team in the world this year) or come up with 'what if' scenarios like 'if G2 players didn't have cold this Worlds, they could have won Worlds'... just because they beat T1 once in an event match (who were jetlagged, tired after playing 4 games in 7 hours + doesn't take Redbull event games as seriously as actual competitive games like World Championship) Seeing EU fans suddenly coping after 1 event match win, it only shows how desperate they have become. Also, I heard that G2 was a scrim champion at Worlds. Guess what? G2 went 1-9 against T1 at scrims during Worlds (and yes, it was before G2 members had cold). T1 literally destroyed everybody in scrims at Worlds as T1 was traditionally known for their strong scrims. And it is actually funny to see T1 members' performance deteriorate over 7 hour duration of time due to mental fatigue - but still manages to make near comebacks in midgame after disasters suffered at early games, making G2 actually work so hard for a win. If it were T1 making that huge lead in the early game, G2 would have had no chance of comeback in midgame. If both T1 and G2 came prepared like they did at Worlds, T1 would have easily destroyed G2. T1 just came unprepared and took it easy and was playing for fun because this was nothing but an event match

It was a fun event. T1 had fun, all the other teams had fun. As an audience, it was enjoyable seeing T1 pull out all those creative comps. T1 did lost to G2 and there’s nothing to cry about. G2 played their comp well and deserve the thumbs up. Guma fell behind way too much. And there were too many questionable deaths on T1’s side. It seemed like Faker was the only one only still fully online. Zeus was on 70% battery power. And the rest were close to shutting down. Lol. It was all fun and games. So please people, stop arguing :)

If there is any takeaway for me from this game at all (let's be honest - with T1 having to play all these matches back to back, it was a glorified soloQ game), it's that Yike is developing into a monster.

G2 fans goating at T1 after winning the Mickey mouse tournament. Barely won against a jet-lagged fatigue T1 with red-side. You can tell T1 don't take it seriously enough because some portion of the game T1 wasn't discipline. If T1 is really trying hard, I believe instead of banning Xayah, they will ban Draven (obvious enough); they have more ways to deal with Xayah than a lane dominant Draven and its Han's staple champ. The only pride EU fans can claim was EU has a higher position than NA. However they got crushed by NRG and delivered by LPL.

I LOVE IT when G2 vs T1 jsut something about the rivalry just feels right. Both teams also immensely respect it each other.

I think G2 played well and T1 made amazing plays for playing 5 hrs, being jetlagged, and got to do fun comp. I do have issue with the event as it just kinda felt like it was EU's chance to show that while they didn't perform at worlds; they can play against the best. Watching T1 play all these games with goofy ass comps was the best part for me. The event just made me realize how much I missed seeing the All-Stars event cause it was just for fun and goofy, and showed me how uninteresting and quick this one was. Just my opinion though. I would really love to see All-Star return with the new arena's mode, URF, Nexus Blitz, or the cool having two players play one champ thing with tons of community voted players or even just teams from all regions. Does anyone else miss the All-Stars event?

This was a semi-serious game played in a for-fun tournament, by all accounts there really should not be any drama but there of course has been and I'm pretty sure I've figured out the primary culprit. There is a select breed of human who has made the idea of "eastern dominance" in esports their entire personality, they are the cringe weebs of the early 2000s telling you everything in Japan is better updated for the current year, and these people were so ready to trash talk its unreal. You can tell by the way they've been trying to gaslight everyone into thinking KC was tryharding when in no universe has Ghost Taric Jungle ever been anything but a troll pick. They were clearly looking for a T1 so they could talk shit and now that this game has blue-balled them out of being able to do so its got them in a bad mood.

I think ever since versing Team Heretics things became a bit more tryhard. (or NNO but that level 1 dance in midlane implies otherwise) I wasn't really able to watch the event because it's midnight when it aired here but I'm gonna assume T1 dropped one game.

I mean first of all, T1 players are not from Europe which makes them have a jet lag. Maybe they tried to advertise Redbull that they can win jet lag? I guess not. Second, is a duration of the competition. Just WTH is wrong with them? 7 hours multiple sets of game with multiple teams without any proper rest or nap? : proper means at least 2 hours recharge at least per 2 games, and considering worlds qualify, that isn't actually enough. Even this is a event matchup thay is not the thing Redbull should have done to such TOP PLAYERS. Well people looking at the match would be fun, but this is not the right thing that T1 deserves. Even Korean Fans were not pleasent about that. Keria was literally sleeping throughout the last game. Third,this is not for T1, this is about G2. How are they losing the phase whenever they have to push more compared to the gold advantage? Yes, G2 won at the end, but we have to realise one thing. This was no where near fair game. Well I am really hoping that that wasn't all they have got(I hope it is only 10 percent of what they got, assuming T1 had such disadvantage) since I was really hoping for LEC to step up next year at international competition, as none of them made to Worlds knockout stage this year.

I can't help imagining: how about BlueBull pays G2 to fly to Korea and grind them with 4 LCK teams and finally face T1, oh no just any team, not even pro, and see what happens. that will be really interesting.

Caedrel you're absolutely fantastic, but the LEC costeaming lighting needs more contrast. I have been watching you for years and, honestly, I have to increase my brightness to an unreasonable level to even see your face in these videos. I genuinely hope you and LEC can figure out the vid clarity of your cam, because the lighting is so dark I gave up on watching your cam 10 minutes into the stream. Long time follower, big time fan, I know you can do better for us. Frankly that costreaming setup with Red Bull was 5x worse than T1 Streams from Sauna.
