Billy has changed since his first appearance, especially towards treating people better, but the writers shouldn't forget how he used to abuse Jamie.

I often wondered why Billy is the way he is, now I know. Poor bloke his poor excuse for a father doesn't deserve to be in his life after the way he treated him, I though Billy was just a mouthy thug but now I know the full story I'm beginning to see him in a different light

Billy used to abuse Jamie , pot kettle in my books with Billy giving his dad a hard time over something he did himself . Everyone deserves a second chance . 🙏

Well no it’s not really you’re actually making your point worse his dad is the reason he became an abuser because of the abuse he suffered from his father then the abuse he’d suffer from ending up in care now maybe he deserves a second chance like Billy got to turn his life around but it’s totally inappropriate and unreasonable to expect Billy to forgive him

If you think about it Billy would have had a different kid, grandkid and great grandkid cuz he wouldn't have met Julie in that foster care home then they wouldn't have had Dan, who had Lola then Lexi. If Stevie hadn't given him up to foster care.

From what I can gather Billy’s never forgiven his father for putting him into foster care which his dad said was after his wife died or left he was in no right fit to look after Billy and thought he would be better off in care

Billy was abused while he was in care, by a man called Ernie Johnson. And also he put Billy in care, and not Billy's brother. He also said, Billy should have died instead of Charlie. So you can't blame Billy for holding a grudge.

Billy was abused whilst he was in care, by a man called Ernie Johnson. He arrived in the square, at the end of 2002, and then the following month, Billy broke into Ernie's house and had a showdown with him, and asked him why he abused him, Billy humiliated him and Ernie moved away in shame. That's one of the reasons, I assume Billy can't forgive his dad for.
