Hellbat pushes are really strong, especially with a medivac. I used to do a version which includes a battlecruiser and transitions into mech. The way they are countered is banelings or roaches. Banelings actually counter hellbats because they will always explode on your hellbats unless marines shoot them. You have to split your hellbats as well as marines against banelings. Roaches are more obvious and win by brute force. There's no real way to beat them if your opponent knows it's coming and prepares enough roaches. You're better off using hellions to harass and building up because roaches will hamper your opponent's economy so you wouldn't even need to attack to be ahead. You do have to prepare tanks or marauders because a counter attack with roaches can be devastating early on when you don't have enough marines.

A few theory notes, you went for the nat CC before the orbital. If you rally your barracks worker to a mineral patch, then to nat position, it will finish mining as you hit 400 minerals. Then you can go 2nd depot and 2nd gas at around the same time. Ebay was a little too fast, youd want your second rax and factory before that. Also, you can push back the armory a bit, but you did have the gas for it with your build. Otherwise good play, and good killer instinct.

FYI Hatch, gas, pool is one of the most common zerg openings. Your opponent really dropped the ball building only ling and hydras against that many Hellbats

3 things 1) if you had a single medivac with that first push you might have won the game right there or atleast allowed yourself to retreat once the ling reinforcements showed up be picking up and flying away. If you're playing bio, medivacs are your best support. 2) Take your 3rd and 4th gassas a little earlier. Mules make mineral income good once the second orbital is done. So if your muling each mule is worth 2.5 scvs mining over a minute. 3) congrats on the win!!!

My preferring to play mech is completely based on my love of the hellbat. Now you can understand why. Now I'm not suggesting you ever play like me if you want to win but still.

At 5:12 you're asking if you're producing well or if its doing terribly. A good benchmark that all races can reach is, by 6 min ingame time, you'd be at around 100 supply with a regular meta-army. Pro [Edited: Zerg] players reach ~120 consistently at 6 mins.

6:52 - supply. You even moused over your bases on the minimap, yet you still didnt spend 3 seconds throwing down a depot... 7:46 - you see how you placed first 2-ish depots there? That's bad, coz hitboxes are not actually square or smth and sometimes units can go through diagonal gap like that. 8:15 - there's a third base for him, you can see the creep. Also you didnt hotkey the barracks you built after the first push. 9:00 - despite him GGing here - gas is like the last thing you should be taking out. Should've went for the main instead. Also sorry if you cover some of those in the part where you watch the replay coz im writing it down as soon as i see it in the video 9:55 - that's not "super-super early" for zerg, that's actually on time for his build (maybe a couple of seconds late even).

silver league doesnt use army hotkeys, they doesnt place 3d base earlier then 15min (like this zerg doesnt do it). U just smurfed that poor player by quick prodaction and no supply blocks which is atleast diamond 3. Shame on you
