I couldn't back out as I had a bit of an issue with saves disappearing while doing this run, otherwise that probably would've prevented a couple of those deaths...

ISAB is the type of guy to use the stairs instead of an elevator just to have the added difficulty to make it fun

this mod seems pretty balanced all things considered. This run was lost twice. If this is treated as a roguelike then death would be a total reset. And backing out and going back in is already the biggest cheese of btd6 which in comparison to rougelikes id say is easily equivalent to save scumming which is generally thought to go against the spirit of a rougelike anyway. So from a balance prospective you have to look at it in the way its intended to be played. In this case no continues, or backing out. When played like that making the greedy play has consequences. Trying to hold out for that upgrade, or save money just incase of something might happen, or you might need is a legitimate gamble. If your not able to drop the towers fast enough or you think your defense is good enough and its not then you lose and restart. Using continues or backing out right before death means there is almost no lose state, you can and should win almost every one of these rouguelike runs. Its nearly impossible to make something balanced and fair if you try to account for those things because the result would mean you have to make it so difficult that even the slightest non optimal choice by the player has to result in failure. This isnt ment to be a slight at the mod maker or at ISAB by the way. More so its just an observation at the idea and difficulties that come to balancing a mode like this in the context of btd6 and being a rougelike. In fact I would say the mod maker has done a good job balancing this and that this video was very entertaining.

With some smaller tweaking and boss scaling (Maybe multiple boss?) this mod would be insanely fun.

With some balancing changes to this, I could genuinely see this being a real game mode in the future
