DISCLAIMER
I purposely chose not to include encounters in this run. I felt that this video would have been extremely long if I did otherwise, as I constantly changed my team throughout the game, and there is like 16 gyms. I'd like to include encounters in future playthroughs.
Also this is NOT my first attempt, I failed many times before this lol.
Rules:
Catch only the first Pokémon of each route (or the first of their type).
Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead (and must be released/boxed).
Catching other Pokémon for HM usage or Pokédex entries is allowed.
No in-game items, but held items are allowed.
No over-leveling past the current gym leader's highest level Pokémon.
Rare Candies are permitted to save time for level grinding.
EV training is allowed but I do not usually do it.

9:12 Paralysis cuts a Pokemon's speed by 75% (50% for Gen 7 and 8). Great video btw 👍🏾!

There's another way to beat Whitney with a Machop You have to catch a Drowzee on the route just before Goldenrod City and then trade with an NPC in the Department Store on the 5th floor to get Machop.

I beat Pryce after Morty cause Morty gives access to using Surf outside of battle, how else can you get to Chuck to help Jasmine and Amphy?

like many people, I would personally like a little more focus on the actual pokemon you found. plus, while nicknames don't have any effect on the difficulty of the game, they're fun :) It's great to be conscious of the length of the video, but it can be a problem if they feel so short that there's nothing to the video but the minimum required battles. also, I found your narration to be a little weak. but understand, this is more of a personal feeling. it can be hard to tell what makes good narration in a video, especially what kind of narration or persona/attitude you want to have in videos. you don't have to go with the over the top exited voice, but it could be useful to figure out how you want to present yourself. this will only come from practicing speaking, writing, and other aspects of video editing.

It is odd that Sucker Punch can kill you when you're asleep 😳 like you're not attacking which is the only reason why Sucker Punch is supposed to work.
