My daughter used a 6ft telescopic rod and match reel at age 8. Now she’s 11 and using a 9ft carp rod and baitrunner reel and can cast tight up to pads and islands at distance 😊 Proud

Ya big kid! 😂 In fact, my first ever proper rod was not too unlike it. FG rod with a plastic handle. It was a casting rod with the trigger finger, but back then (50s - yes, that old) we had no idea what it was for. Caught lots of nice fish including perch on it though, but using a cheap little tin-plate centrepin.

Hey fella. Just got an outus and it’s a cool lure wicked action, my new go to lure. Just shows you though about the kit. Was fishing with my nieces few years back and I caught nothing and they both caught jacks. This was their first time fishing and reeling erratically/jerky which did the trick. Keep em coming mate
