Sounds like you did around 40-42mpg average including the miles it would do on empty before running out, Mk6 Fiestas petrol's have a 45L tank so around 380-400 miles with half a bar sounds about right, this Fiesta has the weaker 1.3 unit you'd have got a little bit more with the 1.25 unit, I've lived with Mk6 Fiestas for nearly 17 years so I know the cars like the back of my hand.

If you tailgate a hgv you reduce drag thus getting better dual economy . Did this once when I lost my wallet and had to get from London to Manchester on 1/2 tank in a 1.8 Ford Sierra . Followed a Royal Mail hgv . You guys need a forfeit if you fail and a prize if you succeed 🎉
