Agreed Famicom Afterburner (After Burner 2) is phenomenal. Recently was able to order a cheap triple bundle of FC games it was in. The audio is amazing, visuals are upgraded, plays fast, runs smooth, just a bit more content, and has nasty arcade difficulty while the NES one was far easier and lacking. A few days ago I did a solder tune up and internal external cleansing of an untested/parts post on ebay of 2 sansui joycard sss NES controllers that weren't right. Repaired both, one entirely, one with a minor quirk (turbo is on or off only no half and full.) :D Amazing controller, best gamepad for the system.

I recommend trying 91% isopropyl alcohol, cotton swabs and putting some major elbow grease into it before reaching to a brass polisher.

When I clean my carts, I use 99% IPA first. After completely dry, I use a clean pencil eraser. And finally, clean again with the IPA. Using polisher is too abrasive and will remove material from the pins. It should only be used as I last resort.

11:36 Did they have Coast to Coast hardware stores in Seattle metro? That was my secret place to get games in southern IL growing up as we didn't have Target, Toys R Us, Best Buy, Circuit City, or any of the Electronics Boutique/Babbage's/Funcoland/Software Etc. stores until the Super Nintendo era. Would always go with my Dad and he thought I was interested in farming/tools when I was just looking at the video games. Didn't take long for him to not let me come with him if I had no interest in the tools.

Sorry to hear of your fathers passing, my dad was also a boomer (1938-2016) who wasn't into video games either, but he and my mother bought me my first console (Magnavox Odyssey 2) in the mid-late 80's, then it was on to the NES and the rest is history. Im trying to get a Nintendo Switch now, the game lineup for that console has me interested.

Btw, Gauntlet (tengan or standard grey carts) do not work on most emulators. It launches but after start, it is garbled nonsense.

So how are the factor meals delivered? I work two jobs, and I can imagine the food spoiling if it was sitting outside of my apartment for multiple hours if it got delivered on a day where I work both jobs and leave at 9 30 local and don’t come back till nine or 10 that night.

They're pretty expensive. 8 meals goes for like $108 and they don't look very hearty.

in ice packs (not dry ice) but I get them delivered to my work, then bring them home a few hours later and they're still fine. The trick is they don't want them 'frozen', just cold.
