On drop rate is a series about obtaining a specific unique item from any source in old school runescape, but I can only attempt said activity as many times as said items exact drop rate.
This is by far the longest grind I have done on the channel ever.
In this video i ask the question, can i recieve a dragon full helm within 8192 mithril dragon kills or not?

Absolute banger of a video! Just an fyi not that it matters now but I did a dps calc and DHL was .1 dps over fang with your gear at mithril dragons! I couldnt believe it when you said the calc showed fang significantly better. This assumes piety and super combat. Only thing i can think of is in some dps calc websites, dhl defaults to the slash or crush option, which drastically lowers its dps. Very minimal and a bit nitpicky but I love dps calcs and had to share!

Have you ever thought about expanding this series to an on drop rate account? It'd be an ironman where you see how far you can get by going for items until you hit drop rate? Maybe add in some mechanic to give yourself another attempt at an item? For example, imp catcher needs the beads. If you make an attempt for a bead and don't get it, you can maybe go for a set piece from fishing trawler within drop rate, and then make a second pass at the I think this series is so cool it may be neat to make an account out of it! Loving the content as always

I can't say I'm to surprised that the fang out dps's the lance, rerolling attacks is around a 33% accuracy boost (and a much more consistent one than a 20% increased range) on top of having 20 more stab (a ~25%) and 33 more strength (a ~50% boost) than the lance.

To get one from chewed bones is 1/42,67 x 1/256 = 1/ 10923,52. Then if you would kill 32768, you would get 1 helm from the normal droprate and 32768 / 10923,52 = 2,99976564 from the chewed bone droprate. So 3,99976564 . This makes 32768 / 2,99976564 = 8192,48. It's 1 out of 8192,48. And since you can't kill 0.48 mithril dragon you need to kill one more. So to get the droprate you need to kill 8193*

You probably heard this before, but you should spend some money on construction. Having a jewelry box, rejuvenation pool and portal nexus can save you alot of time, inv spaces and alot of other usefull perks. All you need is 84 con, crystal saw and a stew boost to get most of the best stuff in your house. I know i know... Its costly and boring but its way too usefull to miss out on it, it will definitely help you on your grinds for series like this.

8192 seems like it'd be quite a bit over droprate; at that kc you have a 75% chance of getting the drop, ~12% from rolling the drop from the dragons themselves and ~53% from the 192 expected chewed bones from that kc. I think "on drop rate" would be something closer to like 6528 kc, ~18% from dragons, ~45% from the expected 153 chewed bones. giving the ~63% drop chance you'd expect from being on droprate.
