I am on disability. When I turn 66 it will be considered social security, If I would work after i'm 66, Do I have to report it ?

Check out: www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10069.pdf. There should not be anything to report once you reach your full retirement age. This is for SSDI, not SSI.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't see how or why it would increase. With SSDI you are just getting what you would have received had you been retired (and since you're not working, you are not contributing anything else to the program). I also don't claim to be a social security expert (we focus more on the Medicaid long-term care programs and estate planning). I'd try calling your local SSA office.

I don't think so it is a big maybe I have a friend been sick since a kid and they parent retired they at the moment feel robbed don't understand why they could not stay on ssi on top of that why they not getting both now I dunno how all that works but from what I was told child was disabled since a kid once parent retires he was switched now that his parent unable to help just got hit with part a and part b which took money off his check a bit shocked to hear that considering the economy it does not sound like a good thing for anybody been sick as a child but once again I dunno Ive been trying to find out more to help them sighs if anybody have any advice post please thanks....

I am disabled and receiving SSDI benefits at age 60 , before it converts to SS Retirement benefits at age 67 can I then postpone those benefits until I reach age 70 to increase the benefit amount I receive?

Hi Stephen - I do not know with 100% certainty, but I believe the answer to your question, unfortunately, is no. Once you are entitled to standard retirement, my understanding is that the SSDI will automatically convert to retirement.

@@elderneedslaw Is what happen to my friend soon as his parent retires his is now like that and he mad about the deductions on Medicare part a n b it seems more simple for him when he was on Medicaid he afraid this new stuff will not protect him as he is sick?????? Im baffled on all this but I guess better to learn now so when I get old and retire I'd be prepared for all that though.
