Күн бұрынIf there's thing one thing I can't stand, it's online trophies. And well, this video illustrates why they're such a pain. The server shutdown notice was sent out for two very well known PlayStation games on PS4 and PS Vita. One of them I'm reaaaally close to finishing, the other I didn't think I had a shot. Either way, I only have 5 days left. Here was my journey on trying to complete these online PSN trophies before the servers officially shut down. It's a wild ride, and I hope you join me. After I hope we can also go to a food stand, and then maybe ride the Twister. That one is so fun.

Especially when it involves other peoples actions. Like games where you have to play against your friends to do something and none of your friends has the game, or every member of your party in an online match have to do something specific.

Always fun to watch these. Miss the Killzone series. KZ2 & 3 came out when I was in the military, and all of us in the barracks would squad up or against each other and play til all hours of the morning....Great memories. I remember being hyped for ShadowFall with my new PS4, and while it was decent, it was definitely a bit of a letdown to me. Hope they'll bring the series back someday sooon. Thanks Ryan!

Love these videos. Funnily enough, I actually got my Killzone SF platinum about 2 years ago. It was without a doubt one of the most laborious and mind-numbing trophies I’ve ever went after. And it’s due to it being an online requirement. Good thing about Killzone is that you can use bots….mostly. Online trophies/achievements are the devil 👹 and I kick myself for it.

As a fan, I am really upset that there isn't a way to play a single Killzone game online since this shutdown. I love the series and liked being able to hop online when i can to play.

I got so burned out during the base game of killzone shadow fall, I have yet to even touch any dlc ones, but now It is too late I believe unless I can do it with bots. Fun platinum to do BEFORE you start the multiplayer ones. As fortunate it is, that most of it can be done with bots - its a killing grind. Glad you chose to finish it after all, Mystic!

Since Sony seems to have started recommending more "affordable" trophies midway through the PS4's life, I hope they start to recommend putting online trophies as separate lists/DLC (sort of like Sucker Punch did with Ghost Legends, despite that actually being DLC). Unfortunately not all companies will do like Monolith who removed the online trophies via an update before closing Shadow Of Mordor's servers

I love the multiplayer in Killzone games. It’s pure satisfaction to my ears when I hear that kill sound unlike many other games fps games. Also the grind wasn’t too bad for me tbh. Just played something on the background and got on with it

I was just going to pick up Shadow Fall as I wanted to get the platinum. Luckily I didn't as a friend told me the multiplayer servers had closed. Any game that has multiplayer trophies from now on I'm going to get those first if I can to avoid last minute grind like this. Great video as always Ryan.

Double-check what you find as information can be outdated or wrong to begin with. I’ve been snipped by this a couple times now with a game being listed/discussed as online where it was incorrect.

great video. got the Killzone SF platinum when the game came out. someone made a match on that night map and somehow both teams knew what they wanted. stod in the middle of the map and then one team would activate the drones and kill us, and then we would do the same. took a long time getting all those upgrades. but I liked the multiplayer in this game. I wanna see those Playstation multiplayer games. it's October and no Showcase

Amazing video. My OCD for trophies would burn tremendously if I couldn't get all of the trophies for Shadows fall. Sad, knowing that the servers are shutting down really brings tears to my eyes. Especially KZ3.

A platinum I've given up on multiple times because the Archaeologist trophy is such a slog. The Shadowfall grind for the Plat was significant but I remember Killzone 2 being harder, also the joyful sound cue of a kill in Killzone games is the best, I will never get Mercenaries platinum and it will always hunt me that I changed account on the jump from PS3 to PS4 and my Killzone 2 and 3 Plats where left in that account

Killzone Mercenary was the one game that i was so excited to get on my PSVITA. I bought the PSVITA a year after launch and when the beta of Killzone eventually came out, i was so excited and downloaded it right away. I remember going to my grandparents and playing it every weekend on my PSVITA (as we didnt have reliable internet at the time) while listening to Freestyle Friday #9 and just enjoying my time. It brings back so many memories when i see people play it, and it’s a shame that it’s at the end of it’s life. R.I.P to one of the best FPS PSVITA games that I ever played. 🥺

Funny you mentioned KZ Shadowfall’s DLC, I also went for the DLC and was able to transfer my progress to the DLC Standalone and got that 100% as well.

Pretty sure we crossed paths on Mercenary at least once. I wasn’t even going to touch it as I had a weekish and never even touched the game…ended up going from no trophies on the games to getting all online trophies for both, including the standalone trophies. I’ll go back for the plats on both at some point so I can have plat for the entire series!

This reminds me of getting my MAG platinum. I came back to the game when I saw the servers were going offline. I had 1 more trophy to go for the plat, but the only one that was remotely viable was one that was in a mode that was almost never played. I basically crossed my fingers queueing up to it and it took a few days for a game to get started in this mode. I think it was my absolute last chance, and I was nearing the end of the match 1 objective away from completing it. In the final minute I had my opportunity, and I was right near the objective I needed to interact with. Problem was, there was someone doing it already (had to hold the button on it). So I was kind of an asshole and team killed him with my knife, then did the button hold to complete the objective myself. The funniest part about it was that he was bitching at me in proxy chat! I said sorry and I needed it for the platinum. My proudest plat.

Going onwards I always start with the online trophies to not end up in this situation. It's a pain and it's dumb but for example Uncharted 3 has just two trophies or something that should be easy to get in just entering multiplayer and playing for less than half an hour but now that it's shut down I can't do it. That's especially annoying since I've recently started picking up lots of old PS3 games for less than $10.

Another crazy person like myself who decided to do this. By some weird twist of fate I had actually started the Shadow Fall stuff a few weeks before BUT I didn't know about the magic rock. Fortunately I was able to secure the 100% for shadowfall and Plat Mercenary. Ch. 5 in Mercenary can go F itself...I reached a point where I was just repeating the dialogue verbatim over and over.

Had to do the same for Onrush since those severs are closing soon as well. All I had left for online was getting enough gear boxes. Days of grinding levels completed in time.

I always said as long as you got the platinum the 100% doesn't matter as much (DLC or trophy packs added later) It's more satisfying to see the 100% though for sure!

Almost pulled off the surge for Shadowfall DLC trophies. Did the base game mp trophies then was burned out, switched games. Servers went down win in the middle of a match going for 50 wins w the horde(?) mode. Hope to see a KZ game in the future. They’ve all been great

Shadowfall I grinded out before the Plat for the full 100%.... it was boring. I'm glad I was able to get both platinums as I missed out on Resistance 2 plat.

I got the shadow falls platinum when the announced the closure of the killzone website 2 years ago. So when they announced the closures for the servers I just had to focus on killzone mercenary, but I have that platinum now too, so all good now.

It's not been obtainable legit on PS3 since 2017 though as Rockstar disabled bounties for the Run like the Wind trophy.

I just recently played Shadow fall and mercenary for the first time like last year if I'm not mistaken (along with the other 3 games plus liberation on my PSP. Binged the entire series for the first time cause I never played any of them before and found practically all of them online for pretty good prices lol decided to finally get into the whole series cause I heard quite a few good things from this series . ) and once I saw the list for Shadow Fall, I didn't even bother trying to give myself confidence for that plat lol I was never gonna get that with my schedule. But I'm glad I was able to secure all the multiplayer related stuff for mercenary and secured the eventual plat . Even did some of the extra trophies for your Killzone profile stuff. Didn't trust it or not if that was gonna become a nuisance of it that profile would end being part of the online stuff in general if that is part of something guerilla games controls or not . Don't know if it's something separate that could be taken down but still from future fears , got some of the stuff there too like getting Ace High rank and couple others like getting a full deck of cards. Glad I'll be able to get the plat down the line eventually when I decide to do it. Wish I was into Killzone 2 and 3 when it was out a while ago . Would've tried to get get those as well

Onrush servers by the way will close on November 30th. It's the 2018 car game from the makers of Drive Club and it also has some online trophies.
