The R2K1 is a version of the 2K1 which was Barry's bat, The R2K1 has a slimmed down barrel more similar to a C271 whereas Barry's bat had a barrel more similar to a C243

Excellent video, brotha. So glad you're back making these types of videos. I miss seeing those great real field videos, but that cage is dope. I think what'd help you a ton is going to a modern high level swing using a Teacherman type swing. That is one of the main keys of a hall of fame type power swings. That actually appears to be the best important key to the best swing though so I think that'd help a bunch. I'm older than you so I get the swing type, dude. That said, those who taught us our swings cost us by being wrong. I had a former MLBer as a coach during travel ball in the 1990s who taught some of what Richard teaches but I was still taught wrong That really sucks to think about. Should give Teacherman's teachings a go & revamp the swing cause I guarantee you'll be breaking a 100 ex. velo w ease. Another thing.... That 32" bat held ya back. That's cause mass = gas, brotha. Gotta swing at least a 33. I bet you could handle a 33.5. The denser the wood is, the better. I think a video series revamping the swing using that Trout & Judge type swing'd be a popular series. If you or anyone doubts what Richard teaches about the swing, Kerry Carpenter was the litmus test during the 2023 season so giving that a go could be some awesome stuff to at least incorporate if creating some content isn't something that ya wanna attempt. Excellent stuff, Goat.

A longer/heavier bat doesn’t automatically mean more power. It’s all about finding the right bat speed and weight ratio. If you can swing a 32 significantly faster than a 33, then you’ll have more power with a 32. If you can swing at the same speed, you’ll have more power with the 33. Barrel speed=power just like mass=power. m*v = momentum so it’s all about finding the right combination.

@@chrismarston4266 Sucks we can't link articles, so Google the article I attempted to share by doing a search for the following Penn State article about that subject: "Bat Weight, Swing Speed & Ball Velo" NOTE (3/27/08): This article is a summary of the published literature concerning batted-ball speed and bat WEIGHT. However, a great deal of recent research clearly indicates that the distribution of weight (as measured by the moment-of-inertia) is far more important than the weight itself. As a result, some of the conclusions summarized below are no longer entirely realistic. ------------------------------------------ So, while what you said isn't totally a false statement, that isn't totally true. Some other things do largely factor. A batter's launch quickness is a key. The density of the wood is a huge factor. The Baseball Bat Bros. did a great video about all-time greats' huge bats. Search KZfaq for their video: "Babe Ruth & Honus Wagner's 40 Ounce Bats" That's a fascinating subject.

A metal bat will out perform a wood bat all day that's why they make pro's swing then or baseball would be just a home run derby and most pro's hit about 20 mph harder then this guy still a great video thow

Use more of your lower half and it will increase your exit velocity. You use too much of your upper half

Sam Bat used to be so good, but they're garbage now. Poor finish, dent easily, and I bought 2 which were both curved. My emails went ignored and I had to file a claim with my credit card company.
