With certain kind of diy-ers and model makers and builders and crafters (like Martina, Adam Savage, and so many others), I think the reason why things that they've "never made before" turn out so good (at least in impartial eyes) is because they're making the effort to learn in the process. They're not so much trying to wing it and just copy as they are tryng to learn from the beginning so they can make it right the first time and have that knowledge for when they might need it again later. I know when I'm trying to figure out something new I like to know the ins and outs so I don't get confused if something messes up or I rushed something I shouldn't have.

As someone who's had SEVERE allergies since childhood, you saying, "What a beautiful day. TO BE INSIDE," really resonated in my soul lol. And you appreciating that GORGEOUS rainy day also was just completely on my wavelength. (;w; ) Anyway THE BOOK TURNED OUT INCREDIBLE OH MY GOSH. It's so wild seeing something like this that I've only seen in animated movies and shows come alive and be made by hand. =)

If you added a mirror around the bottom of the stand just where the edges of the book are it would reflect the lights and make it appear as though light was coming from the bottom too.

I love that! Only improvement would've been to make the back of the box on the inner side also black, this would prevent the LEDs lighting up the wood and would've made JUST the book glow magically

Of course you couldn't figure out how to enchant it, you need an enchanting table! That might actually be a fun project idea. Probably want to scale it down though because 1x1x.5 meters is a BIG book display lol

Everything about this is just amazing. But that gold inlay though! *chefs kiss* I feel like this would make a cool collector's item. Kinda like how you can buy the spell books from Skyrim. It would be so cool to have all the Minecraft enchanting books on a shelf. Or in an office or gaming room. This project is a beautiful piece. Amazing job!

Amazing job. Just goes to show you how much effort was put into making extraordinary books back 700+ years ago. This was literally someone's job back then. To think there was at the time only 1 or 2 copies of those books as well. That's why they are so rare and expensive now.

This is so awesome. I am very impressed and inspired to do more crafting myself! The only thing I might have changed would be to somehow add the gold-colored corners on the inside of the cover that you see in the enchanting table and lectern. It also would have been awesome if you managed to build something resembling one of those to display the book instead of just a box.

It is just encrypted English, Standard Galactic Alphabet runes can be literally just translated to English alphabet. Also, it is not creation of Mojang and original feature of Minecraft, Standard Galactic Alphabet comes from a game called Commander Keen, created and published by ID Software back in 1990. You see, all those little easter eggs and refferences make the game really stand out :)

With the help of your videos, I have made so many little books and I realise how exciting it can be. I can use creativity to make a cool book, then I can use more creativity to fill the book up. I remember in high school, we all had to talk to a career cousellor. She had this huge binder of all different subjects and career ideas and the only one that interested me at the time was bookbinding. The look she gave me was like I was insane and she basically told me to pick something else.

I also made myself a little sketchbook out of cardboard and extra paper and I love filling it in with little drawings and poems...I adore these types of things, and I would love to book bind with proper leather someday. It sucks that your counsellor told you that, I love that you still decided to be creative anyway and make a bunch of tiny books

Actually, you can get enchanted books without crafting tables (villagers or chests) you can also have normal books (by breaking bookshelves found either in structures or by trading) and it seems to me that you can find obsidian and diamonds in village chests so you can make an enchanting table. (or else you can also find a bucket, use it to go to the nether, find gold in chests and barter with piglins) I mean it would be quite hard, but still doable. Oh, and for lapis, I'm sure you could find a pickaxe somewhere.
