I never understood why Stripe was supposed to be bad, I always found him to be a tough nut to crack, in fact, it's one of the ones I hate fighting against the most.

I've picked up Stripe like 3 days ago and he feels pretty good in 2s, and in ones his bomb is insane as well. just gotta learn more combos and confirms and he'll have a solid pick. His offstage play is insane as well, the gun, sair, dair, the bomb is easily the safest option to get on stage, and air special is a good one to get on stage too.

Void, Stripe’s dash attack has high knock back scaling. Can be a kill. Try it against Watermelon Steven.

I've been having a great time on Stripe for a while, now, though I wouldn't call him my main. My favorite way to kill is the skateboard flip, but no one decent gets hit by that. Feels good when it happens, though. Sometimes you can sneak one in in 2's. I think the best argument for Stripe in 2's is that you can team with someone better at getting the kills while you do all the damage. (as an "assassin" he should really be better at kills than he is)

He does this thing with the skateboard where he kicks it up. If i remember correctly it kills early, i got fkd up by it a few times in 1s

How could you reveal the quality of my boy like this.

the up light attack where he kicks his legs up if you click it continuously it hits a heavy kick that send them upward and you can finish with the shots.

One thing I discovered was that his down special is stupid good to enter and surprise enemies really easily, especially with the dynamite perk, you do more damage to the enemy than you do yourself when blowing up, so its a really fair trade for basically free openings

I've been grinding stripe since I could play multiverse glad to see some more combos and potential

One really good combo with Stripe is side ground 2 times then do up ground, and if he's right above, you hit up ground again, plus stripes 2nd up ground has crazy knockback and side special on the ground has crazy knockback to

i like stripe a lot rn. hes my most played at the moment and in 1s he feels like he has really good neutral tools. his combos routes are fun and finishing kills with his revolver will always be cheesy and that shits peak tilt for other players

If you didn't know you can jump cancel his side special to mix up your way to get back to stage or for neutral. Also his ground game is pretty good you bait stuff with side light and either finish the combo or try to get a reverse dash up tilt for the kill

I feel stripe is the most solid of the cast I've played. He's currently my main, and everything feels like it does the right amount and the stuff that kills feels like it should kill. Once you get his kit down, you can really get him going, but whenever I waiver it's usually because the opponent just has complete control of the field. At high % Stripe still threatens but only if you have the balls to try hitting them before they do you, and since a lot of his attacks lose to others, you mostly want to go for safer attacks (at least when I play as him). I'm terrible with the dynamite though, don't use it before I die or angle it wrong. The only complaint I have I guess is the Sawblade, I think it should cut through most projectiles (like a saw). I'd by fine with a longer cooldown just to give it a boost. It still does fine now, but you can't use it as a projectile, and it's one of Stripe's only projectiles to combat other projectiles. Skateboard's another weird move that can be trouble, but it can kill pretty good if it gets them when the skateboard flings up. Definitely don't think he's at the bottom of the tiers, but he's not breaking anything. If he gets nerfed, I don't see why unless they see this video as you saying he's op, which is not what I think they should do. If they saw the video, it's clear you think he's decently balanced and needs little to no changes, nerfs nor buffs.

stripe I feel is very slept on right now, he has weaknesses for sure such as very little armor breaking capabilities but he has some of the most fun and unique combos out of any character in the game, personally I think he's gate keeper of B tier because he's got some really versatile tools in his kit, Dair is a good spike but also a good combo extender, dynamite is an incredible burst option but has some really good damage and kill potential with his signature perk, and skateboard is a great way for getting in to projectile heavy characters while also being a really consistent kill move that allows for some really cheesy stocks on top of destroying some more annoying things like jerry and bugs' safe.

I do love stripe, mained him hard the second he came out in the beta and he’s been nerfed a bit with the rework mostly in that his hit boxes are… bad, Like the fact his skateboard doesn’t gain priority over literally anything when it has a long wind up, is slow, and locks you into the entire animation is insane. But haven’t given up he’s still a ton of fun if not optimal.

I’ve been a stripe main since the beginning and I absolutely adore how he plays, one of the moves that surprises me the most with its kill power is his up attack, the final hit kills pretty early for some reason, combined with his pistol he has some pretty good kill power all things considered

Stripe has a decent kill confirm off side attack into up attack. His up attack is SUPER strong and kills early.I like playing him; chainsaws, bang bang gun and the bomb are all fun to play with. Now if only his sawblade CD wasn't so dam high. I enjoy maining him because I loved the original Gremlins movie.

How do you always get the down special to hit, I main stripe and I’m good with everything else except that every time I hit some1 with it it’s a complete accident

I don't know if you do it later on but if you finish the up light all the way it kills at 100 or more

I tried out Stripe yesterday because he was free in rotation and I don’t have enough currency to unlock anyone else yet. He’s actually pretty fun to mess around with. My day 1 neutral just consisted of blowing myself up because it’s funny

Basically like a lot of people have said, it sounds like the main rubs are void not knowing Stripe's kill moves, and also being thrown off by how much his specials were nerfed after the beta, when his kit is actually still pretty good overall. And maybe him being listed as an assassin is just wrong, since he almost feels like he's a better general damage dealer and working with spacing/forcing people into disadvantage than direct kills. But as said, he can still kill pretty good off of his ups and sides when you know how to use them.

For watermelon Steven you can skateboard him. Also, Ik it’s horrible but skateboard always kills at like 145ish. Dash attack can also kill I just don’t know when.

Best kill move is up attack. Jab->up attack->up attack, or jab->jab->up attack->up attack. After that it’s up air or down air. Down attack sometimes kills at ledge.

The dynamite is a pretty decent kill move, dash move is an option too

Ive been on stripe since day ONE. Stripe has an extremely "reckless" fighting style that works best when fighting other hyper agressive characters. His dynamite provies an extremely unexpected and extremely fast way to get in your opponents face from an unexpected angle allowing you the ability to simply sidestep when someone over commits to an attack.

Stripe is my Main. I could careless where ppl put him on a tier list. If you know how to use him he's NASTY!

i was top 1k in the beta with stripe (HE WAS FUCKING BROKEN BTW on release he was low key one of the best characters to ever be released in a platform fighter) but i stopped playing him in the launch bc he felt a lot different. Honestly, I feel like this game is more fun when you’re not a pro player because you’re constantly doubting your character to point where you just make lots of horrible mistakes. As casual player I just do whatever with any character I want and I have fun doing that.
