You'd get another significant improvement by upgrading the tires. Schwalbe Jumbo Jims are very fast. Not sure if they are appropriate for where you ride however.

you definitely should have gotten a narrow wide chainring. it will drastically decrease the chances of dropping a chain in the real gnarly stuff

it won't stop chain falling off in all instances, but good idea anyway, a proper guide would be nice too.

I wonder if there would be a torque sensor bottom bracket available now to the type of BB that that bike has, it could make the bike much more natural feeling even though it will not make it a mid drive.

How much weight did you end up pulling off? Still not convinced ebikes a good thing but you definitely made this one trail worthy

I've been looking to do something similar myself. the buttons on that tourney shifter looks like they come from a camecube controller. btw putting the rotor screws in with a power tool gives me major anxiety, lol

Since its a thick MTB with fat tires, could you have used a 35mm phat handlebar, think that would've complimented the size of the bike better 🤔

i would like more shot's of the whole bike.. before and after. The part let's stare at it too close up. Only 2 seconds where we can see the complete bike.

@@BuildaBetterBike is it smaller than the stock one? I’ve got a cyrusher XF 900 and I have almost followed your upgrades to the letter, except for the freewheel derailer and chain and chain ring. I took that crappy. tourney off and put an acera 7 on for the time being. So far I’ve done 203mm rotors, fox float rear and a hybrid fox 40 stanchions (guts) inside the fat tire bottom fork. Jessica headset, PNW dropper with wolf tooth remote. Renthal carbon fatbar race face atlas stem and Maxxis minion tires. Only thing left is your drivetrain, set up and possibly some Migura 2 piston hydraulics. But thank you so much for including the parts list and I’m glad someone finally made this video

@@BuildaBetterBike OR….start saving and get a real Ebike from a name brand company like Canyon or Yeti but YOW!!!!!! I’m a slightly bigger rider, so to spec it out to handle me, would be very close to the $10K Mark
