Omg thank you! I had no idea about that advanced search! I was holding back on my channel for a very long time because of my confusion on copyright and I just couldn't figure it out. Thank you for showing this which I would've never figured out. Cant beleive I didnt know about that advanced earch option. All I was seeing is "this image may be subject to copyright laws" and im scratching my head for so long on what I can use or not. Im going to have a segment in each of my videos that has a couple pictures of said video game boss im talking about but I was hesitant on doing it without a solid answer on this issue. I didn't wanna do so much work and effort only to have every video copyright striked and I also didnt want to disrespect anyones work or not give recognition properly etc. I really just wanted 2 to 3 pictures per video than my own gameplay. But I also want to add official lore and scripture on said boss. So this just finally showed me the way to finally dig into my vision for my channel. Thank you seriously for making it straightforward and by showing it.

So if you follow these steps and search filters, and want to insert a imagine within a youtube video on your channel, do you have credit the photo you downloaded? kinda like crediting music from freesound.org?

I’m confused about this: Once you’ve clicked on “free to use, share or modify, even commercially” then click on “advanced search” and then click on “Images” - What is the next step? If I close my browser and go into a Google search with another browser and do a Google search for images of let’s say, James Dean, would I only get images that are not subject to copyright infringement? Are the setting changes I made to Google “saved” automatically or is there somewhere you have to click on “saved”; because I don’t see anywhere to save them, and when I go back into Google I don’t see the changes I made still there?

I've read that you won't get a copyright stike instantly if you use a copyrighted image. Instead youtube will do one of: content rights holder monetizes the video without blocking it, content rights holder blocks the video in one or a few countries, but still monetizes the video or make the video blocked worldwide. Google image license search changed now: 1. Creative commons license 2. Commercial and other license. I'm guessing option 2 is safe, but Google tags them as "licensable" it seems.
