(02:08) - Slight Misinformation. Linux DOES support Kernel Level Anti-Cheat, just not software like Denuvo and Vanguard.
(03:23) - All that's needed to play (Install your drivers silly, just like on Windows. That's it! Linux Distro flavor is IRRELEVANT)
The short answer, is that as long as you have gaming capable hardware and your GPU drivers are installed, odds are Linux will play most any of your games regardless of which distribution you choose to deploy on your system; provided your hardware specifications are gaming capable.
Most every main stream Linux distro has GPU drivers within their repositories for all major GPU distributors. So long as they're installed, it doesn't matter what distro you choose to use, it'll game.
Game's that "can't" be played on Linux typically default to one singular mutual feature generally shared across similarly "incompatible" titles. Kernel level anti-cheat software is highly frowned upon in the Linux Community, so it's no surprise to find that games which deploy anti-cheat softwares like Denuvo Anti-Cheat will not be compatible on Linux as the anti-cheat software will prevent the game from launching.
If the developers of these games changed anti-cheat providers to something like Punkbuster, EasyAntiCheat or similar; Linux would be permitted to play said game. It is not a technical limitation on the part of Linux that games like Fortnight are not playable.
In the grand scheme of things, to say that there are far more playable games on Linux than not would be a gross understatement. If it's built for it, happy gaming. (and be honest with yourself, know what your hardware is capable of)
Got nothing against Intel CPU's, or AMD GPU's, both are solid hardware. I'm merely stating that my experiences assisting people has been that when Intel CPU's paired with AMD GPU's on Linux, it's these who seemingly run into the most conflict. And it's quite possible only because of the very point of this video....
Ensure your drivers are installed! Same as on Windows!
