I’d say this new structure will suit a manager like him, as if they had a bad day at the office he has the ability and the psychological experience to turn things around for the next game . He will certainly put belief into his squad !!!

But I feel the quality in division 2 has improved a lot you got Armagh unlucky to not to be in a semi final in the last two years Kildare who i think are way better than last year showed, like unlucky to be relegated In 2022 Cavan back in div 2 could get a managerial boost Meath tealtenn cup winners more players established Fermanagh quite good in the league late winners will probably want to be in sam magurie Cork made major strides last year fancy them next to Armagh even with Jim in Donegal Louth almost In division 1 first provincial final in ten years Like it’s not remotely a guarantee donegal will go back up

From a monaghan man it's definitely possible he's a very experienced man in football while there is currently better teams then donegal none of them are invincible if you get training and tactics right it's very possible

it will be interesting to see if he applies lessons from soccer experiences! we should not expect all ireland success as Aaron made an exvellent point about stiffness of competition. stsndards will rise and what input he will have on getting the academy navk on track.

It's possible as I don't think there's many great teams out there. Dublin and kerry are average by their both high standards yet still made it to the final at a canter

Reading some of the comments and the video, are we seriously pretending that Jim McGuiness doesn't have the potential to bring Donegal to being serious all Ireland contention, like bro the system he had back then is the one a lot of teams doing it, but no better man to actually do that system than the man that invented the system, he knows it inside out, everyone else just knows a mini copy cat system, if he was against Rory Gallagher Derry, we wouldn't hammer them, we'd win but it would be 1 to 5 point win, we'd beat Armagh Tyrone and Monaghan similarly, against Dublin/Kerry/mayo/Galway we'd be looking at a one point game last few minutes, and any other teams would just be torn apart

Jim took the job to win an all ireland, its that simple. He'll prob do it too. Donegal arent that far behind the dubs or kerry, Monaghan or Derry. It can be done, especially with jim back.
