Burrow is 3-0 in his career against Mahomes, while the Chiefs QB is in his fifth straight AFC title game. Kansas City has reached and hosted the AFC Championship since Mahomes entered the league, in which he has one Super Bowl MVP, a regular season MVP and two Super Bowl appearances. Burrow lost to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI. Emmanuel Acho, Joy Taylor, LeSean McCoy and David Helman debate on whether Burrow would pass Mahomes if he defeats the Chiefs again.

Since Burrow came into the league and when he has played the full season he has won! So if he wins again he’s better cause he wasn’t playing when Patrick won his rings so if he keeps him away from going to the Super Bowl two years in a row then how can you say he’s not better?!?! Cause if Joe wins this year then he’s been to the Super Bowl two years in a row which are his only two full years in the league!! Yes Pat did that also but he did it before Joe was in the league so you can’t claim Pat is better for winning when Joe wasn’t there. But if Patrick wins Sunday then yes he’s the best. Cause Burrow has the chance to make it to 5 straight also so far he’s played 2 years and made it there both! Either way we get to see some great football this year and for many years to come and both will continue to play each other so we will definitely know in the end who truly is the best!!

Exactly! I mean I can't believe Oscho doesn't understand that. On any given Sunday another TEAM, not player can beat u, but that's why they play more than on game and one team and have a playoff. There was one team that always beat Brady, but that didn't stop him from winning. Besides they downplaying the greatness of Chase, b/c w/o him I don't think Cin win like they are doing.

It’s cause the rules make it so that the QB’s usually have the last say at the the end of the day. And both teams have similar deficiencies and strengths so it ends up coming down to who can get the job done when they have the ball in their hands. Controlling the clock, setting the tempo, scoring when needed, etc.

This exactly. The best way to compare quarterbacks is to look at stats, and by that metric Mahomes is THE BEST qb in the league. If the Bengals beat the chiefs on Sunday that only proves that the Bengals have a better team. You would think that sports analysts would be quick to point that out, but they never do.

It's the inconsistency of the KC defense that lets us down. We have an average defense and still reach the AFC championship game for the 5th straight year. That just shows how good Mahomes is at keeping us in games. If Mahomes had a Cinci defense or a 49ers defense we'd be in another league. I am worried about this week as you can't deny how good Burrow is. But I think we can and hope we can do it!

Why did it take 10 minutes to acknowledge that football is a team game and it's not QB vs QB? That's what's do dumb about this argument. Joe burrow clearly has a better team. Better weapons, better defense, better special teams. So if Burrow wins, it doesn't matter. Mahomes was objectively the better QB not just this year but every single year of Burrows career and it wasn't particularly close. One game does not change that outlook.

True its Mahomes hype. The media didnt say he had a bad game until his 3rd bad game. 2019 Lamar was better 2020 Rogers and Allen were better 2021 Brady and Rogers were better. And yet they still want to say he was the best during those years. This year with double digit INTS and lesser numbers in TDS YDS Completions(NFL record by Brady) and Brady lost last year. Probably cuz Goddell is sick and tired of handing trophies over to Brady.

The Bill's were the #1 defense last year. Lit them up. He lit up Belichick, who the very next game held the Rams and McVay to 3 points. He trailed the 49ers defense going into the 4th quarter and the offense went off. Mahomes has to overcome the other team's defense, and many times, his own just to win.

the fact that people are now undermining mvp awards just to make the comparison is wild I've never seen a great qb this much hate comparable to brady. trying to discredit mahomes because he is with andy reid, because mvp is a popularity award (which it isn't), because he has kelce and HAD hill but no one mentions that both sides have weapons and this year the bengals have a better receiving core and not to mention burrow plays against kc defense and mahomes against bengals defense. they aren't in the pro bowl skill games it's a team game. so 0-3 doesn't matter cause if it did then baker mayfield is better by that logic cause he is undefeated against burrow and i think burrow is the second best qb but we cant keep trying to compare the hottest new qb to him when they haven't had the same accomplishments yet

Burrow is great and has won 3 close games with a better defense and arguably the best receiver group. Mahomes has hosted 5 AFC Championship games in a row, despite a middle of the pack defense. Not just the Niners defense but their skilled position players. The last time the best QB had the best roster was the 2007 pats. That usually never happens in the sport. If Burrow wins Sunday and caps it off with a ring, Bengals will be the team to beat and if you look at the stats, defensively KC and Cincy numbers are similar. Burrow is at least 1A even if Patti has the crown of best QB

Call me crazy but Mahomes will finally get a win from Burrow! Remember in the earlier year, Burrow lost to the Browns which his record became 0-4. Later that year he finally got a win against the Browns. Mahomes lost against Burrow (0-3). Well Mahomes have that chance and could get a win. Besides another thing, years ago the Pats and the Ravens played back to back AFC championship and each got a win. I honestly don’t see Burrow going to Arrowhead and winning back to back.

Can't make a Jordan comparison. One guy plays offense and defense in basketball. Jordan was elite on both sides of the ball, something Mahomes can't be.

Here's the truth... Brady in OT year 1 as a starter where he didn't get the ball in OT(no rule change!)...(MVP) Win SB...(SB MVP) Lost to Brady in SB w/ no OLine... Lost to Burrow in AFC Playing Burrow again, injured this time(TBD, MVP) So the goat prevented 2 SB's and Burrow once...against any other QB's could have been 4 straight SB's! 3 losses to Burrow all by 3 points!...9 points over 3 games(1 in OT).. and the Kelce fumble( fighting for 1-2 extra yards) cost Mahomes the game last time. Now he's injured...this would/could be the nail in the coffin on this discussion if Chiefs win...D has to show up and show out for that to happen! Additionally... Put Pat on Bengals, with their run game & 3 stud WR's...and put Burrow on Pats team...who do you think has more success?

I love how everyone says 3-0 but always neglects to mention how those games went. Up big in both of the first two, the chiefs straight up got complacent and let cincy ride the momentum too long. The last game they only lose because a HOF had a rare big time fumble. Like these are not asswhoopings. The chiefs have shot themselves all three times. The bengals have a better team this year than they did last year so I don’t see us jumping out to a big lead like last year. I do think the world is gonna have to take notice when pat turns into robocop like he has multiple times before and becomes a stone cold killer.

The media has been so hyped up on this 0-3 record, but forget that those games Mahomes outplayed Burrow by a wide margin and only lost by a missed field goal (Chiefs), a fumble (Chiefs), and a made field goal (Bengals).

Your wrong there, in those 3 games Burrow's AVG Completion Percentage: 72.2%, 8:1 TD-INT Ratio, 327.3 Yd Avg. Mahomes 67.3%, 6:2 TD-INT Ratio, 252.3 Yd Avg. Both of them played very well agaisnt each other. Burrow has the edge through 3 games head to head though. As far as everything else as it stands Mahomes has the SB Title, SB MVP and League MVP (2nd MVP Soon). Burrow is knocking on the door trying to catch up and he could start this year. As I see it Mahomes is #1 because of SB WIn (because that what matters.) Burrow #2 with AFC Title last year and Allen pulling in 3rd with AFC Title loss to Mahomes and recent Divisional loss to Burrow. This excludes NFC teams.

Here's why Burrow will leap Mahomes. Since entering the NFL in 2020, Burrow has won 5 playoff games, including the AFC Championship Game over Mahomes AT Arrowhead, has played in a Super Bowl. If Burrow wins a SB & mvp or two, he'll be even with Pat and then we can have a conversation. Shady truly knows what he's talking about because of his long & storied playing career. Beside the fact I love me some Shady, he has experience from playing with some of the best ever like Brady, Josh Allen, Mahomes & even with who I believe to be the most talented qb ever - yes the one & only, the great Michael Vick. Yeah, I said it. If Mike was drafted by someone like Andy Reid from the beginning, he would've been a career All-pro & a Hall of Famer. We would be debating how these guys would be measuring up to Vick. Quite honestly I would very much love to hear what the panel would think about that. I know it would be difficult because he works at the same network. Great show guys & lady! And if you couldn't guess, I am a little bit of an avid Eagles fanatic and hence therefore a certified lunatic as well, hehehe. 🤪

4:20 that dude is exactly right. The only reason the Chiefs weren't the favourites this year and why people are taking the Bengals over the Chiefs is because they're bored; they don't want to predict the best remaining the best. And I say all this as a Bengals fan.

He had 700 yards from scrimmage and averaged 4.6 yards per carry in the year he was with the chiefs. He ran for 100 in a playoff game for them. Less of a player, sure. Not washed I would argue.

I should clarify....most media I've seen/heard is its either "Mahomes or Hurts for MVP and no one else really comes close". I personally haven't heard as many talking about Burrow as a legitimate contender vs the other two.

One of Acho’s worst segments yet! The guy swears they’re only playing one another; without the involvement of the rest of their team, coaching etc. By no means am I a chiefs fan; however, everyone has to acknowledge that MaHomes is in a league of his own! Simply the best QB of this generation!!
