A draw would be a good result for United today. EtH at least needs to ensure that we remain unbeaten at OT until the end of the season. If he can do that, plus win the cup, there is a chance he saves his job.

Can’t believe how over the top United fans are going with that Antony performance against a truly mediocre Chelsea team. His literally first good appearance all season, he’s one of the worst players in the premier league and should be nowhere near United’s starting eleven, one goal contribution in the entirety of the premier league season. There are goalkeepers with the same amount of goal contributions

@@larnx1692that is not true, his first game against Chelsea earlier this season was excellent. he’s had plenty of games where he’s played excellent bar scoring/assisting. let’s not pretend like he’s had it easy at United, especially with his off field troubles this season. those are performances that you praise and hope for more. you aren’t a fan if you can’t see that

I am interested in seeing how many more centre back combos MU can get through this game. Will it exceed Liverpool's goal tally? Can we keep them to under 45,000,000,000 shots on goal? Not the happiest season, really. Lots of good reasons for it and some questions about what the manager is up to, but I really can't get excited about firing yet another manager and seeing a squad described as incoherent in 2018 by Phil McNulty get even more incoherent as yet another manager comes in. Hojlund, Onana, Mainoo, Garnacho and some of the back office additions have been the big pieces of good news this season. It is something to build on. LB and CB in the transfer season and I think this manager can show something. Don't forget what he did in 2023. It is a big job, not a quick one at MU. Fingers crossed for tonight, enormous amounts of alcohol and, if things get really bad, I will watch people attempting to say 'Szoboszlai saw the seashore sitting in the sun'. I might even try it myself around the time MU play their 7th CB pairing of the evening.

I think that more than worry about Salah and Nunez, United should worry about Macca and Bradley, perhaps even Szoboszlai if he's on it. The reason I would concern myself with those more so than with the others is because Bradley, Mac Allister and Salah form a triangle on the wing that's extremely dangerous when they link up and is what gets Salah in extremely dangerous positions making him and actual threat. Mac Allister also has very good long range passing and can toss a ball to Nunez, Diaz or Salah on the transition. Talking about transition he's extremely good at recovering the ball in the middle of the park to allow for said transition. If United manage to shut down Macca then that's a massive threat dealt with, the rest is just making sure that Szoboszlai doesn't step up in place of Macca for that triangle on the wing and that Diaz doesn't beat his man and go inside for a shot.

Loved your selection bro, if Ten Hag went with that set up we stand a 50/50 chance. Rest Casemiro and start with Amrabat. Mount 10 and Bruno RW. We might actually pull it off. Or even Eriksen at 10. But we know what to expect. Either Scott or Casemiro will start. What do i think our chances are? with that depleted back 4, very slim. I am not holding my breath. They might embarrass us. If other teams like Luton or Forest can give Liverpool a game, why should we think we can't do it? we've shown that they can do it when they play as a unit, and if they can get that right, then we can be optimistic about the result

When was the last time we ever felt good going into a LFC derby game!? That said if you look at the last 5 meetings we have won 3 (all at OT) drawn 1 at Anfield and Lost (badly) at Anfield. So, yes like the last 5 games I feel like we are going to get pummeled especially with our squad issues and their form, but ETH has pulled the results out against them before. The stats show you that. Even if we do somehow win it, I don't think it's going to be an enjoyable watch 😂

Tbf to ETH. He’s got next to no options to change things up. Other than not bringing Scott Mtc on who deletes any potential control. What can he do with this system? He can’t rely on ball playing back 4, nor can he look to much dynamism from the bench? Didn’t seem to trust Amrabat or Ahmad over Casemero (he’s on a beach in his head). His options last year were Garnacho and Erickson. And that’s gone now. Feel for ETH. Let’s hope the players going out means we get options defensively next year.

Man Utd have nothing to play for in the league. Just try to not get completely destroyed and avoid injuries. Even a 2-1 or 2-0 defeat is acceptable. Focus on the FA Cup.

Bit of a mad one here but I think this game calls for it. Four man midfield of Mainoo, mount, Ericson (if fit) and casimiro. Brono 10 hojland 9 with a wink and a prayer!

Feel like we need to hold a mid block, be as defensively sound as possible and hit the counter from there. Do feel like amrabat hasn't been given enough playing time

That formation won't work. We had a similar one and our midfield got overrun by Brentford. I would prefer a 4-4-2. In the midfield I would want a box with Mainoo and Amrabat as the two pivots and providing cover to Maguire and Kambwala. Fernandes and Eriksen more upfront. Fernandes to provide creativity in shorter ranges and a threat from the edge of the box while Eriksen with his long range and controlled passing can help in build up and a counter attacks. And Højlund and Garnacho upfront in the classic old school 2 striker partnership with Højlund as the more forward striker positioned towards the Right side and Garnacho behind Højlund coming in from the left. Will kind of look like this . . : : : . . We will need to overload the midfield and always be atleast +1 in the midfield and the defense if we stand any chance to win.

ETH needs to go crazy on his tactics and team selection, Mount, Amrabat or Eriksen for Bruno and Amad over Antony. Hell even a 352 or 442 formation would suit us well.

I'd put Casemiro into defence with Maguire along with Dalot and wan bissaka. Bruno Mainoo Anthony mount Garnacho hojlund . Kwambala isn't ready and Evans and Varane aren't fit. They'll go all out attack and we Garnacho can steal a goal. 🤞

The Ref. is Anthony Taylor - He is a Man Utd hater - Famously sent off Casemiro. Taylor consistently gives big decisions against United and all 50/50s will go to Liverpool.

I like that you dropped Rashford. What I don't like is that Bruno doesn't hit Rasmus with that quick long ball over the top. It's like that ball is only reserved for Rashford and Garna. We are not exploiting Rasmus' pace for some reason. Garna is my danger man in this game. We can definitely give them a game.

They will be super determined to beat UTD, no faffing about not taking chances in the long periods of dominance (how long this time, more than an hour?🤔 With no extra time to save the team that simply refuse to learn how to pass-and-move-and-pass-and-move etc...? Just seen Citeh slowly dismantle Palace. So predictable and so simple looking...I didn't even finish the game) How come this pari match offer does NOT include conceding over 25 shots? Oh, right, coz that is a given. Idk, I have never bet tbh. I understand that fans agree that Amrabat has been a failure, and though I was always sceptical when he was being SO praised prior to his arrival, I struggle too with the idea that such a formerly capable unit - in every sense - would not be useful at least as a dedicated stopper, when trying to guarantee a result, such as when winning 3-2 late in the game at Chelsea! How is there so little lack of faith in him? Genuine wonderment here. Gotta feeling something like it was hoped he would be will be needed on Sunday. This was written before I got to the tactics section of this vid. The Casemiro poor performance indicated in the Chelsea game, I admit I missed... Can't help thinking both he and Amrabat, Mainoo and Bruno for midfield should be considered to save the overworking legs, including of the drop-downy defenders. Rashford pumped up & on a f'ing mission to start, with the idea for another attacker or 2/3 late in the game. Oh, and prayer, of course.

Hate that im saying this but a big part of me thinks this is going to be another mauling that ultimately gets the manager sacked. Injuries a side ( know its hard given we have 1500 of the bastards ) The lads that are fit just do not look like they are buying things under Erik, It was thrown around a ton under Ole but it really does feel like its been moments of individual brilliance that have carried us this season.
