I am 13, obvi don’t have a license but I’ve “trained” on the A320 for over a year and know pretty much every system, so I feel that I could communicate and land the plane safely with a full stop, as long as it’s an A320

@@DFW_Spotter I'm a 16 year old student pilot, and I don't see any sense in you being trained in an a320 at 13 years old without atleast having your PPL, like forget the ATP rating lol. Unless your dad works with the simulators for an airline, but even then you said youve been trained for over a year. Just doesn't make sense bud.

I could do this in real life… atc would walk you through everything. Making sure your flaps are fully expanded and landing gear is down is the key

@@JustSayN2O they would have to give you the headings, the appropriate speed and rate of descent. Air traffic don't know those things. An experienced pilot who knew the aircraft could potentially guide you in

I dont think it will work. Planes are different. The amount of stress and functions..too much.

yeah on a simulator I think many people could land, even I who just play MFS could land but the risks of failure is very high, in real life things are different, you have just one shot to get it right

What are you talking about? You dont know where the brakes are or what the names and functions are..how can ATC help you with that in short time??😂😂😂

It’s not like you can just click a button to land at the closest airport you have to dial in the frequency for the airport set the transponder to 7700 then capture the G/S and click APPR depending on what plane you are on and than turn on both of the CMDS. Set flaps do all landing procedure like speed brake arm and land lights.

I have 41 hours in actual planes, including solo time, and I landed a 737 in a simulator with the help of an actual 737 pilot. I think I could MAYBE land an airliner in an emergency situation if I had to, but even that would be tough for me, because jets just fly so much differently than small piston airplanes. Small inputs make the plane move A LOT.

@@videogameplayer0552 I know right ? I've seen several lands of a320 and the input the pilot had to apply to flare is minimum, I've always wanted to fly a plane in a simulator like this one of the video

No... The "user interface to the controls and instruments" is actually designed for ease of use. There is just so much information that the pilot is required to know that it requires extensive training and familiarization with flight physics, aircraft controls, and systems.

They're not that hard to use tbh

If you think these controls are “gawd awful,” please don’t google “Concorde cockpit” and go to images. New airline cockpits are actually designed with simplicity in mind. The reason the controls look so complicated is because airplanes have so many systems unlike cars, that all require their own buttons, switches, levers, or knobs to control. Anti ice system, cabin pressure, radios, elevator and ailerons, flaps, spoilers, the various external lights, navigation systems for GPS and VORs. There are also gauges to tell you your airspeed, altitude, vertical speed, fuel, etc. the thing with planes is that pilots have to be able to manually control everything because if an emergency arises, you can’t just pull over and get towed to the mechanic like you can with a car. Pilots have to be able to diagnose and resolve issues to safely get the plane on the ground.

Only on small, general aviation planes, that are many times more simple
