Interesting thought. But, As a molecular biologist who specializes in DNA evolution I’ll chime in. I know of no phenomenon or mechanism that would support this idea of passing learned race course experience on to offspring. I don’t think one can liken it to migratory instinct either.

What is dubbed "Genetic Memory" is definitely a "thing" and has been fairly well documented in genetic research in the last few decades, even though the mechanism is not well understood yet. We actually have a case of genetic memory in my mother's side of the family. Almost every descendant of one of my maternal great grandmothers possesses an almost unreasonable fear of water on the face. When me and my cousins were babies and toddlers, we'd cry bloody murder if water got on our face when we were given baths. This was also true of some second and third cousins descended from my grandmother's sisters who were not raised in the same household environments. Often, the reaction of some children in the family to water in their face was so extreme that it resulted in fight or flight behavior involving kicking, screaming, etc. The whole situation was considered completely unexplainable because there was no reasonable explanation for this completely irrational fear and behavior. I went through childhood with a pretty heavy inherent fear of swimming pools, creeks, rivers, ponds, lakes, oceans, etc. to the extent that I treated swimming pools, etc. like most people treat fire. Keep in mind, there was no reasonable explanation for possessing such an irrational fear of a body of standing water. During the early part of my mining career, diving to extract underwater gold deposits was a necessity. Though i "got over" the fear of water, Id have to psyche myself up even to work in waist deep water. I later switched to underground mining in part because of it. Many years later, a family story involving my great grandmother emerged through some distant cousins. When my great grandmother was 5 or 6 years old, she had a somewhat younger sibling who drowned in a pond and she had watched helplessly as it took place. Though she never spoke of this incident, almost all of her descendants seemed to inherit an unreasonable fear of water, even though none of us had any valid reason to fear it. Similar behaviors are pretty well documented in other families as well as in animal behavior and the study of them has spawned what geneticists refer to as "Genetic Memory." One common theory is that stressful events like an attack by a predator somehow "imprint" themselves on the DNA of an animal and become passed down to later generations as common behavior. Think of kittens who seem to know to naturally fear dogs, even if it's their first dog encounter. It is a fascinating facet of genetic research and is believed to drive many elements of adaptation in wild species.
