Freddie and Charmaine are decent, likeable people (especially Freddie). But, I feel Charmaine was a bit uppity. She made fun of receiving the mangoes and critical of the weekly shop. Yes. It's really the parents' fault at that age. Children have no concept of money, budgets, or wealth. I will always maintain a budget for myself, with God's help. Something I learned from the Caucasian middle class and the older generation who themselves are doing very well for themselves. Many Caucasian middle class familes shop smart with nothing to prove. They live comfortably but maintain budgets. That way, when they really want to splurge or happen to go over on their budget on occasion, it won't hurt the bank. They put their money into things that accumulate equity, not commodities that lose value fast. It's often times the black community that overspends just to prove a point.🙃🤦‍♀️ That often, times date back to slavery. Many black families are more financially well off but become slaves to debt. I choose to be a good steward, proving nothing. As God increases me, then I am able to increase my "budget". I just think differently about money, finances and investing and where you invest.👍💯 Keeping a budget, yet living a quality life within my means gives me peace.
