Though Urgot's W shoots three times a second, it applies on-hit effects at 50% effectiveness. Since you don't build attack speed on Urgot, it means that on-hits are perfectly fine to use on him, other than Spellblade Sheen items, anyway.
Movespeed is always good with Urgot's W, as it helps you reposition easier for his passive procs, plus even kite and chase like an actual marksman.

imagine if he chose crabgot as the skin of choice they would've been INVINCIBLE. crabgot on the slashart is such a huge boi and now think of the terror of a giant crab moving this fast he easily would've crashed the game with his power

While Urgot W is in fact affected by attack range, this can cause you to miss with your shotgun knees. Also while the W doesn't apply spell effects itself, each shotgun blast does.

The shotgun range is increased with attack range. I have never seen it miss, but I can imagine it hapoening.

you should buy the boots that make you walk on walls you can press w then use boots to shoot people from the wall
