You should've used a wallpaper tool that flattens out the paper and gets rid of the bubbles as you go instead of trying to get them after. Regardless, you can also use a pin or sewing needle to pop the bubbles if you see more, but since it's on your counter, I'd seal the hole up with something to prevent things from seeping in.

Oh I'd screw that up. Big time. Not putting it on. Why would you put that over butcher block? If you don't like it change the tone. Sand it and throw some oil on her. That's a very functional piece in your kitchen. I was devastated when my little pig board finally broke. She's glued and hangs on the wall. Only used to serve bread. She finally bit the dust. But I still have a large piece my uncle made me. The three pieces my husband gave me. My large beautiful wood butcher block I found it a thrift store and laid upon until my husband paid for it because I'm not kidding there were eight women standing around me going are you buying that and I'm like I'm laying on it. Are you sure? My husband's paying for it now. Where's the tag? My husband has it. Where's your husband? Paying for it now. How much did you pay??... the price tag... I'll pay you double ... Me... Literally laying sprawled out on my side, horizontal. Claimed. You would wonder why in the world would you lay on a butcher block? Apparently you haven't been thrifting in the south... You give the tag to someone and you claim your piece sometimes you have to lay on it sit on it hold it physically personally ☝️🧐 would suggest laying on it. Why put plastic paper on butcher block? Cheapens the look and will be ruined no time flat. Me... I'd burn it,. Stain it... That stuff ain't worth the dollar you spend on it. Only for the aesthetic. No aesthetic. Cheap. Worthless. I know many Southern ladies that would be scolding you up and down for that. How blessed to have butcher block. How versatile. Go back to the butcher block go back.

Butcher block is a bitch to care for. Too much maintenance, cost and hassle!! I can see why she desired marble quartz. I hope she was able to afford the upgrade. People get tired & bored. I was turned off by wood after reading about all the care involved and upkeep. NO THANKS.

@@melissahouse3488 One nice thing you can do is put acrylic over top. It's very easy to do it yourself. And your wood will last. Unless you have acrylic issues. But then again getting stone block. You're dealing with radioactive material. You might want to take one or the other. Which one is worse to you.
