Thanks for a bunch of good videos. I would really like, if you could subtitle in English a bit more. I train karate in Denmark and I get a lot of inspiration from your videos, but I may miss some good points in your chats. But thanks! Ossu!
The name of the defence with forearm on maegeri at 4:35?

Yeah , leaning over to block a front kick like that is a good way to get your head knocked off. Makes no sense.

You don’t even understand a single word what they’re saying so..... They KNOW exactly what they’re doing and all those moves are proving the logics. In this case they’re describing as if you miss a step on the stairs and your body suddenly lose the strength at that exact moment. They’re basically making that vulnerable moment to strike back. (without injuring the opponent) Maybe learn to speak more Japanese or go get an education from an actual expert of Shorinji. If not, you shouldn’t be taking like you know better than them.

Block a middle kick with the arm while there's no hand guarding the head. Yeah right. Seems like a good way to get both a broken arm and punched in the face.

Your opinion is very reasonable !

Unless you are good at that defense!!

I wish he would show counter moves in combos instead of single move counters and sweeps

Just speculation, but it seems to be more of a kind of drill rather than the technique. Tho the whole leg kick thing is really awesome and very practical once you get it down
