Great content as usual Arty; channel suggestion: would love to see you start doing tutorial videos for those of us wanting to get back into BroodWar (like myself) after years away from the game or people new to the game. Macro techniques and tutorials, hot key tutorials, buttonology, opening build explanations, Micro tutorials for every unit in each race. For the other races, maybe you could do feature videos with other BroodWar pros and have them explain the above listed things for their respective races. You could teach the techniques then show in-game how they were applied correctly or incorrectly. I know you would get a lot of traction out of these types of videos and could grow the community even more. Keep up the great work!

Spoiler below: Those lurkers repeatedly on top of the cliff stopping the mining and killing tons of probes felt DIRTY. IMO, the difference in this game. BISU did so well all things considered. That and cross spawn feels advantageous to Zerg in this matchup, though I can't say for sure.

The way your pronounce Lair with two syllables was getting me. I know the game decently, but kept thinking you were saying "layering" instead of Lairing lol. Letting casuals like me know what the smart pros are thinking and stuff lol

My brother introduced me to Starcraft when i was like 6 and been in love with it since then, halo wars was nice, but star craft is too iconic in this genre. Thank you artosis for entertaining me with the casting as well as showing top level plays.

Protoss really suffers from not using Dark Archons. Every single maestrom + Psi Storm of Hydras = they all die. Plus it easily erases mutas, and can feedback and kill defilers from longer range as they're always max mp from consume. If it uses either ability twice, it pays for itself and it's gravy after that. Most valuable and under used Protoss unit in the game for the entire length of the game imo.

At 20:30, both players have roughly identical supplies, but wildly different worker & army supplies (as in ~2:1 advantages for either side).

This shit should be on HBO.

I haven’t played StarCraft in about 20 years and just downloaded it. What race and build would you suggest for a guy with about 4apm and a broken mouse lol? I have zero micro ability. Is there a build that works far better than others with a simple “attack move” command?

I do think Bisu is better than Mini at PVZ. Bisu just seems to know exactly what to do at every point in a PVZ. I think Mini can appear better at the matchup, but what Mini does is prepare for match ups in these intensely timed out builds that give him huge advantages. Watching Mini is like watching the Harlem Globetrotters sometimes. I think some of his greatest accomplishments just happened to be against Zerg players, but I think what makes Mini special he can do to anyone playing any race, but when he doesn't have that perfect plan, he just looks like any other ASL Protoss playing the match up, like what we saw against Soulkey in the finals. Bisu is just the GOAT of PVZ. He does plan things out, but he just has a swiss army knife of builds, and he can make whatever unit set u give him work exactly like its supposed to against Zerg. He performs so well in high pressure situations that happen on the fly. His repositioning in PVZ is just insane. I can say I can't think of one time Bisu did a one base build against Zerg, and that might be his biggest downfall.

Forgive me, its been well over a decade since I played BW, but why don't protoss use the corsair ability? Can someone explain to me why it sucks? I've never seen anyone use it, and I always thought it was a good zoning ability. (I was a scrub back in the day so this is likely just me being dumb. lol)

I watched this video randomly, why is it so much favoritism with bisu? Soma played very good and all I was hearing was praise to bisu, and that base was a terrible choice lol.

Good observer watches mini map so he can show every action that is happening. Arty talks a lot, but we didn't saw like 50% of the action and the action that we could see was hard to watch because he moves the screen a lot all the time.. Also talking about what can or will happen all the time even during the fight that is happening instead of describing what you actually see at the moment is very annoying. I know that you try to give us some "deep inside" into the game. But to me it is counterproductive. Just slow down and let us watch.. 😆
