In my country 🇿🇦 we call them twists. Can be done with natural hair or extensions added. Your technique is beautiful...well done.

It looks like she twisted the ends upwards….like one would do an end of a faux loc to keep it from unraveling.

It's called spring twist I love it. I used to braid it to my daughter before I shaved off her hair . It's nice most especially on natural hair.

I call them 2-strain twists or kinky twists. I do this on my mom’s hair and it’s definitely growing a lot more now with these twists than what she used to do!

They are called natural twists. And you can as well use plain water or water with little shampoo to make the hair swell more.

Why don’t people clip of obviously split ends from their hair? Every few weeks, if I feel my hair is tangled at the ends, I plait my hair in small individual braid and clip of the ends. This style also grows my hair. My hair likes twists more than braids.

Do a 3 strand braid to start the base, few inches, then twist the rest. I use that method to prevent it from shrinking up at the base too.

FYI She'll be bald around the edges in a few years if women continue to cornrow so tight. Edges are fragile and weak if pulled like that. Take it from someone who knows. Peace.🤗
