The harp and lyre are such underappreciated instruments. The harp is one of my two favorite instruments. I go back and forth between the organ and harp. I can't choose a favorite.

I was just gifted a Molin lyre 20 minutes ago by my coworker!!! I was really sad that I couldnt afford to continue my harp lessons bc it got too expensive, nor could I afford a harp. Are you a harpist? Your hand positioning and posture is gorgeous!

Oh, I was actually in the exact same situation as you are! I really loved the Harp and was blessed to study it for a short time... But I had to stop because I couldnt afford to buy my own harp.. In my country (Philippines), harpists are very rare because the instrument is quite expensive as well the lesson cost. I really missed playing the Harp so badly, I got desperate and saw this Molin Lyre harp. I thought maybe I can still play the Harp using this. If you see some lyres out there, they usually play it with their left side, and the posture/hand form is different from a harpist. I tried to retain my harpist's form, but the since this lyre is not exactly the same as the Harp that we are used to, I am still struggling with my high thumb, etc... But I am really glad to find this as an opportunity to learn about arranging pieces since the range of the lyre is smaller than the lever and pedal harp that I used to play on. I am so glad to meet u here, my friend! Feel free to send me a msg if you need my help! I made several tutorial videos here in my channel regarding this lyre harp. I only had this for 2 months, but I am enjoying it. Until I can raise funds to buy my own Celtic harp... ❤️

Music Bloomer we are in the EXACT same situation!!! I’m Filipino too! Born in Toronto, but still! So cool to meet another Filipino musician. I’m excited to fiddle around with the lyre but you are completely right in that it doesnt have much space for high thumbs! I wish you all the best, and I’m speaking it into existence - you and I WILL own our dream harps one day. Believe it! :D

I'm twice happy to meet u my fellow Filipino! 🤗❤️ I was just talking to my friend last nyt who migrated to Calgary Canada, and showed me a picture of 26 strings harpsicles for sale in Canada. I was teasing her if she could buy one for me and then bring it with her when she comes home here in the PH. Have u checked on those? Yes, I believe too my friend!

Music Bloomer yes!!! I was renting one, but it had no levers. Eventually my lessons advanced to needing a lever harp, but I couldnt afford it :( . But yes!!! Theyre amazing. One day, my friend. One day! :D

You can feel the love in this song. I can feel the love of beautiful things, and it flows through me. (Hobbit reference made totally on purpose) I can actually feel love in this and it's oddly meloncholic as well. It makes me think of The Greek God Apollo and His lover Hyacinth. I can picture them in a field filled with yellow flowers, a nice strong sense of love in the air and the beautiful sound of a lyre. Suddenly I want to learn how to play the Lyre now! hehe.

I'm so excited to find someone who plays left handed! I want to get into the lyre and all the other models are curved do there isn't a good way to hold it and now I found someone who plays this model instead for that reason!

Wow that was so beautiful to see :) the last I remember is seeing this sort of instrument being played by a character called King David in the Bible. The kids story books had artwork of him holding of these. So good to see it being played today. And the lyrics showing up on the video screen were a bonus cuz this is such a beautiful song. Thank you for making this lovely video for us. Happy last week of 2020 (somehow) and a beautiful 2021 to everyone here : )

@@ultimaterat5665 Well, he technically is? Archons in Genshin Impact don't have a specific gender, Venti/Barbatos just takes the form of a more masculine-ish body which belongs to his dear friend that died. He just uses he/him pronouns, but you can use any pronouns you want ig.

I found myself here by way of Nabokov's Lolita and the word "sapphic" from the Greek poet Sappho (from the island of Lesbos)who was a lyric poetress, lyric from lyre, the words of the poem to be sung along with the playing of the lyre. Thank you, a very beautiful song and sound.
