I first listened to this song when I was 14 and I didn't have interest in cats... Now I'm 25 and I have a 2 year cat of my own, whom I absolutely love and I can't look at him without getting emotional. And ever since I adopted him, I feel attracted to every cat I see. Cats of friends, which I never cared about, I suddenly started to pet them and play with them and take pictures of them. When this happens, I think of this song. The only reason people hate cats is because they compare them to dogs. Might as well compare a fish to a horse. "But... but dogs actually LOVE their owners!" So do cats! They just prefer not to show it as much. My cat constantly tries to clean my face, the ultimate sign your cat loves and trusts you! (And no, there's no food on my face so shut up) "But cats aren't loyal!" Neither are fish. Or hamsters. But you don't hate them for it, do you? You CAN'T compare dogs to cats!!! They aren't even related species! You can't hate a fish because it can't fly like a bird, you can't hate a lizard because it can't swim like a fish, you can't hate a cat because it doesn't act like a dog!!! Common sense!
