I’ve not been sleeping great as of late and last weekend was the epitome of that, my usual 8 hours that I try get fell well off the mark of that so come along with me as I wake up early for a run on my local route then do my lifts. I briefly touch on the fact that comparing yourself in the gym and in life will suck the life out of everything you do. At the ripe age of 33 I accept that I’ll personally never be at the standard that I was in sports as a younger version of me, but that’s not to say that I can’t be strong and take on the physical pursuits that I want. A quick fire way to hault progress is comparison, do it for you, have fun, be consistent and take part in some events so you can highlight areas of weakness then work on them and go again!

5 mile (local loop)
Pec flys 3x10 (great pre pressing warm up)
5x5 bench
5x5 military press
