Only interested in the Diesel version as it should get 33+mpg, wish they didn't have 22" tires as standard, as 20" tires would be far more comfortable, provide greater ability for off-roading and far more unlikely to blow up on uneven roads.....as well as cheaper to replace. The diesel version has everything for some one like me who likes to go on 7K car trips (just did one about a month ago- on Mercedes Diesel ML 250 bluetec with 33mpg and sub 2.00/gal prices throughout the trip). The non-diesel will get 60% of mpg and cost 50% more (as premium unleaded is needed) and last 70% of diesel version (note, almost all of the longest lasting engines are Diesels). I also find that torque is more important than HP, as my present diesel with 369 lb ft torque provides all the power needed for lane changes and pick-ups (especially at elevation), and the Escalade has almost 100 more lb ft of torque. The diesel version of the Escalade is the best vehicle ever made, they really thought about what the drivers need, love the camera mirrors, the extra leg space for the 2nd and 3rd rows and the audio system is the best ever...just wish they had options for smaller than 22" tires, which look nice on the driveway but comprises the drive's durability and comfort.

Cadillac and Mercedes are by far the two nicest luxury brands of course not including Rolls-Royce because I mean come on who can afford anywhere close to that.

FYI: I could be wrong but I think Cadillac is trying to get away from the negative stigma of drug dealers and East coast,west coast rivalry. But great video and really nice truck they've really grown on me

I just looked/test drove a 2021 Escalade “Sport” with rear entertainment. It is a friggen joke for a $103k vehicle. It wouldn’t compete in quality with a $50k BMW X3. The plastics used and manual second row seats with plastic levers are no better than what is found in a GM 1/2 ton pickup crewcab. Buttons and quality of leather is the same as a Yukon or pickup. I would even conclude a Ram Limited pickup is more luxurious and better executed. Top engine trim engine of 6.2L V8 only has 420hp?? How is that possible to have a engine this big with only 420hp? That is pathetic and can not be dismissed at any price point. I was stunned GM would price the particular model I drove any higher than maybe $65k. Perhaps one could be impressed by the Escalade looking from a Chevy owners view point if that is all they were exposed to?? No way is Cadillac completing with the big luxury brands of Germany mid tier vehicles let alone their flagships.
