Wilson is right to see the England games as a 3 test series , with the ABs having the advantage of playing twice at home but being a new team against the more settled English team. I think England will win that game at Twickenham , just. The All Blacks will win comfortably at Eden Park. The first test at Dunedin is likely to be the real decider of who comes out on top overall. 50/50 game I reckon. Cant wait for it.

Nice to see a fair comment that's based on reason not hubris. It's gonna be close. The ABs are more skillful, smarter and faster but England are much improved and if their defence fires they will take the ABs to unfamiliar waters from which they may not be able to row back.

Both teams are at the start of their 4 year cycle, new coaches and young talent across the park. This test series is going to be massive! There is x factor across the park on both sides. Don’t think I’ve ever been more keen on test series than this one!!

South African here and all i can say is go for it New Zealand. Absolutely throw the bust at these guys. I personally think Razor is the man for the job. I don't think he is liked by the NZ rugby cause he's not some run of the mill ou toppie ( old man ). Hes young, hes charismatic, the guys respect him and for sure fear him. I think New Zealand has not stuck to their guns the past 5 years and it shows. I think he will go for a very strong pack and that's where new New Zealand need work. There needs to be some big changes here. Been riding off the talent of the backs for far too long. I also think Nz rotate their backs way too much. Still have no clue why Beauden was ever shifted around out of fly. It was just done to accommodate others, but seriously if the ABs just built him into some absolute freak of a fly half i don't think many teams would be able to handle that. You look at the most successful past teams in NZ, players were not constantly played out of position, guys were pure experts. Conrad Smith my favourite New Zealander growing up was immense, you dont develop that kind of game iq switching it up every 5 minutes. I don't think people realise the beast that's coming and honestly would be great to just put the northernets back in their cage. Razor deserves a chance and hes taking the risk on selections. Same thing was said about Rassie when he came into the fold. That his selections were bananas but hes proven everyone wrong ( guys still nuts )

Think NZ win 2-0 but scores could be reasonably close. Look out for cunninghan-south in the back row, george martin at lock and manny feyi W on the wing. They might surprise a few people.

So true. Even if true, you don't say it loud. But NZ knows now that with world rugby so hotly contested, gone are the days of AB 90% win ratios. The attrition in the modern game won't allow for it, but yeah, still dismayed at the lower mentality on display by pundits and fans alike.

No country in the world has the depth of South Africa. Combine that with our physicality, skills, and the best coaches in the world. I am very excited about what Tony Brown is bringing to the team in addition to what we already have. All I can say is: Good luck to the other sides!

@@user-ek4fg8rv1z best thing SA did was leave Super Rugby it’s allowed the pacific nations to grow and it wasn’t good for SA and it showed in their results. Nobody expected NZ to make the WC final and under estimated the All Blacks. SA had more respect and hung on … just. We just keep coming , they say we’re done but then here we are again . That’s AB rugby that’s NZ as people we got a tough year this year and you can tell they can’t wait to get into it.

10 out of 14 would be bloody good. Barrett at 10 Mackenzie should stay coming off the bench thats where he has the most impact. Christie made alot of poor decisions in the black jersey.

I’d be really happy with 10. The standard of international rugby is so unbelievably good right now amongst tier 1 nations. From the tests that we have this year? The away games we have to play in SA and Ireland? 10 from 14 is a very good year.

Some good, mature, considered opinions here. Rugby is as competitive as it’s ever been….Aus and Wales excepted. And that’s good for the game as a whole. A NZ side that doesn’t expect to win, if anything is a more dangerous side. Nothing wrong with respecting the opposition (when it’s deserved)…..

Umm, yes, but it is going to have to be a grinding series, where our forwards, that I believe are better than England will do the job. This is what has to be done to win, because I do not think running wildly at the English will help NZs cause. Grinding match, where I do genuinely expect the All-Blacks front 5 to dominate over England. That is Englands weakness, as nuts as that sounds, vs what I think Robertson will and has to do, which is use big forward power to basically dominate the smaller and less stronger English forward pack.

I don't see an England weakness in the lock department. George Martin is a beast and Itoje is coming back to form. The front row you may be right although we do have some solid players there too, they lack the dynamism of the Kiwis. I really don't think NZ gonna dominate us physically, but we will see. I watched the Super Rugby final and the intensity of defence in nothing like NH rugby, the ABs are going to have their hands full. That said I'm not making England favourites to win both tests, but the first test England have got a real chance to come away with a win.

I think in pure rugby terms you guys give England too much credit. I believe the covid gap closer has officially lost its momentum after the world cup and the Southern hemisphere teams will set the pace of the game again. A brand new All Black side will have too much for the English, I mean it’s not their first time playing rugby, these guys know their roll on the field and might be a bit rusty for the first 20-40 minutes but once it clicks it will be brutal for the English.
