Caris LeVert and Dean Wade to Atlanta for SF De'Andre Hunter would be ideal. Hunter is a true 3 and D wing, 6'8'' with a 7'2" wingspan. The salaries matchup perfectly, Cavs can throw in a draft pick as well if necessary. The Hawks are in a salary crunch throughout the entire roster, something the Hawks want to clean up going into next season. Hawks would have major incentive on making a trade similar to this because if they don't, Atlanta will be in a salary cap mess for years to come, the last place they want to be in is NBA purgatory with an overpriced roster that just doesn't fit together. There was also a report that the Cavs were interested in Hunter over the most recent trade deadline back in February

I do like Hunter. Umm man would like to keep one of those guys. Just because they are our best bench guys. If we do that, what do we do with Garland, then trade him? Maybe another pg in the trade and a pick or two, hopefully.

@@Tron-cm1ov If the Cavs were to trade for Hunter, LeVert would most likely be in the deal since Atlanta would be interested in his expiring contract at $16.6 million. If the Cavs are keeping Wade in this scenario, a combination of LeVert, Ty Jerome, and Craig Porter Jr. (unlikely Cavs would want to deal CPJ but he's not untouchable by any means) or LeVert, Ty Jerome, and a draft pick might get it done for Hunter. Sounds like the Cavs have every intention of holding onto Garland and keeping the Core 4 together, but that could change drastically with Garland's camp/agency demanding a trade once Donovan extends. Garland for Brandon Ingram straight up works financially, and makes sense for both teams since New Orleans needs a true point guard and the Cavs need a small forward, could be a fresh start for both players. Why not try to match up on the wing with what Boston has (Tatum/Brown) or New York (Bridges/Anunoby) if the Knicks are able to re-sign O.G. that is

Why throw wade instead of Niang?
@bowdownb41uservetrigger70
@bowdownb41uservetrigger70 Ай бұрын
@@johnpatricksoltes5459 The Cavs would probably prefer to keep Wade over Niang if they had to choose, but if you recall Donovan helped recruit Niang to the Cavs in free agency last summer since they're good buddies from their days with the Utah Jazz together. It's unlikely they would trade Niang after only one season, especially being close with Mitchell, the Cavs front office wouldn't want to do anything to upset Donovan at this time, but anything is possible. From the Hawks perspective, Atlanta would most likely prefer to trade for Wade since he's making about $2-2.5 million less annually than Niang over the next 2 seasons and the Hawks are trying to clear salary and take back the least amount possible. In today's NBA, every little bit counts for these owners when it comes to being an Over the Cap/borderline 1st and 2nd Tax Apron team

Hunter has been underwhelming since the time he was drafted...the worst part about him though is he has ongoing knee problems and is not the defensive player at all we thought he would be!

😂😂 We don’t need to make a trade draft a solid wing tommorow and we’ll be fine we have a real coach now and an all star backcourt Cleveland is up now

Fully healthy we might have actually had a shot at a finals appearance this year...but let's be honest...the Cavs needed to be healthy and firing on all cylinders as an elite offense just to keep up with Boston (which just wasn't the case under JB.) So I kinda agree with you in that I believe in this group of guys and building more continuity but I also agree with Danny in shuffling some cards to go after someone to fill the wing out for us. But what teams are picking up he phone to trade for anyone outside of the core four in Cleveland?

Nah after this Knicks trade Cavs are cooked and I’m a fan. We need to make a trade for a REAL 3&D wing that isn’t 6’5. Then we can fill out the bench and we’ll be fine.

@@henrylinder7534 we need to pull some strings and figure it out. I like Caris but is there anything out there for a package of him and Dean Wade plus the 20th pick for a true wing. Does that even make sense?
