These are the sort of figures I look out for at jumble sales, car boot sales, table tops etc as people sell them cheap and with a bit of TLC amazing what you can do with them a little time and patience goes a long way.

Nice job. Not sure it would have helped in this situation, but when I used to re-do models, I would strip all the paint and glue off by submerging the parts in water and Simple Green, and let them soak until the paint came off. Depending on where you live, some cities frown on brake fluid going down the kitchen sink, so I think simple green and a tooth brush may be a decent alternative when regular dish soap doesn't quite get it.
@KevinHillofDOOM
@KevinHillofDOOM 6 жыл бұрын
My Brother in Law uses the same, Simple Green, to strip paint from Games Workshop miniatures. works very well. Paint lifts right off. Also, brake fluid is really nasty stuff, absorbs into your system right through skin, I'd seriously avoid any direct contact with it.

Try Mr Muscle oven cleaner. Removes most paints. Doesn't harm factory paint at all. All you need to do is spray it on, so it covers the painted areas and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes and then use a toothbrush to remove the softened down paint. Rinse under warm water to remove oven cleaner and paint while scrubbing with a toothbrush. Make sure to use it in a well ventilated place as it has quite a strong odour and wear rubber gloves.

Thank you very much for your response . Well the rear part of the g1 jazz in car mode splits downwards very easily and loosely . For instance, when i grab the car from the spoiler and i shake it several times up and down the rear part comes down easily and loosely. I have seen other g1 jazz and did the same thing and the rear did not come down because it was so tight , specially when shaking the car with the stamp facing the roof . Please, help me with this issue.

I remember my neighbor had a vintage dewback and painted it black, even as a kid I could never do that to my beloved dewback. why are the arms and legs brown a little lighter than the chest on the bespin luke? age? I have seen some where the paint is lighter and some where the paint is the same color as the chest?

I use it like you do the brake fluid, very carefully, it also works on yellowing of figures but it takes a couple times. I have built my Imperial Army like you so spraying Easy-Off to figures I'm going to repaint anyway and tighten joints doesn't matter to me and they look awesome. Have you tried Bare Metal Foil on Chrome parts if not you should, you will need a sharp knife and a soft cuticle pusher.

Tom Drake It's also good for cleaning out your vehicles and ships because you can get in those small spaces that you couldn't normally do with your hands or even a toothbrush just makes it a lot easier to do it that way just use your solvent inside the liquid that you're using to clean it with and you got it knocked out rather quickly just remember distance is key
