temple guard under gorok is pretty strong, ofc if you have kroak, its nigh unstoppable.

Temple guard could probably work if your plan is to have an army that grinds down the enemy. They have some major weaknesses, however: 1. Their speed. 32 speed isn't particularly swift, so you won't be able to chase down enemies and finish the job without fast heroes in the army 2. They have fairly low melee attack for an elite infantry. Granted, their melee defense is pretty alright, but nothing special 3. They have high mass, meaning they won't be knocked down as often, which can result in them taking more damage from monsters 4. Their slow speed makes them especially ripe targets for artillery and enemy missiles. A 35% missile block chance is alright, but not when they're being melted by shots from multiple angles. Granted, Gor Rok can make Temple Guard almost impossible to kill, and I have no doubts that bringing along a scar veteran or a skink priest will enhance their strengths significantly. If you were to build an army like this, I'd recommend going with some tried and true decensive formations, and cycle temple guards through the ranks. Their low melee attack is what makes them weaker, though the lores of jeavens and beasts can help them out significantly thanks to them having potent buffing spells (like Pann's Impenetrable Pelt or Harmonic Convergence), as well as decently good debuffs (Curse of the Midnight Wind and Curse of Anraheir)

Better be with sisters of slaughters and Hellebron. 84 MD 64 MA pretty impressive.

@@maximcharest Big thing about hellebron is the wardsave and physical resistance. Something like 60% if i recall correctly. On top of really good melee stats, good speed and the small shield(dodge) for arrows. For lizardmen. Saurus warriors do the job even into the late game. Love that lizerdman, which was a melee focused species, is finally able to shine in warhammer 3. Saurus warriors with shields hit harder than temple guard, slightly less armor piercing sure but units with 100 armor only block 50% of nonarmor piercing daamge so they are more universally applicable.

Well, in vermintide, most of the ubersreik five aren’t made out of anything sturdier than the average member of their respective race. So could an empire swordsman take more than two hits from a stormvermin, not counting blocks? I don’t think so, and neither can Kruber. The power scaling is weird due to scale, but Stormvermin are only really “scary” to the common dude… Why am I being so pedantic abt this? I could’ve just said “haha true”

Heroes in total war are amped well beyond what they’d canonically be capable of. Especially vs high tier infantry.

Fool you will never be able to comprehend what a stormvermin patrol was in Vermintide 1. 20 units of hacking and slashing instant death!

It's clan moulder themselves that buffs them. Thrott himself does nothing to boost Stormvermin, it's all in the faction effects. Granted, if you don't want to have genetically engineered ratmen who stalk and regen then clan rictus is a good second choice thanks to giving them all the ability to buff the leadership of nearby rats (even for an elite infantry stormvermin break fairly easily)

This is true, but making an optimal SV stack for Clan Moulder is time consuming and expensive on resources that are probably better spent on monsters.

It would be something so time consuming and random that you probably would just be better simply focusing on monsters, which you can boost with Throt. That's without considering that healing, something Throt can do, works badly on infantry. Is it possible? I would guess "yes". Is it functional? Barely more than this. Is it easy to build? Nah.

@@colbunkmust why stormvermin over, for example, plague monks? Regen on a unit that is a squishy DPS unit makes them a powerhouse by default. Not to mention necroparasites for rezzing dead combatants. Moulder has a million better options over stormvermin, but then again, skaven as a faction overall has better options over stormvermin so I guess the player that made this stack just wanted to prove a point.

@@Murasame13 Did you misinterpret my comment? I didn't say that SV were the optimal unit to use for Clan Moulder. I said that I agreed with OP that the best SV would be from Moulder, not Rictus; but, that there were better uses for mutagens than spending them on SV or for that matter, plague monks.

well maybe not "Better" since weapons teams would normally take no damage when ambushing but it would be quite strong non the less with a full surround then replenish after the fight to basically take no damage (hopefully)

Tretch got pretty significant buffs for his faction in the last two patches. They reworked the faction affect to be entirely offensive in nature rather than passive control and added really good passive buffs to clan rats and stormvermin. Plus Tretch himself got a new lord effect that pairs incredibly well with his play style.

@@CH-ml4rz Thats just the standard chevron system, all units of all factions get that What clan rictus do for storm vermin in that they ALSO give them +1 Armour and +1 base weapon damage per chevron, up to 9, which is what makes them better than in other factions (other than maybe clan molder, seeing as they have their own heap of buffs they can give them)

Not really IMO. Monster stacks are good with Throt mainly, due to the adaptations. Best way to handle this is probably with like 15 chieftains, get Trentch to resistance cap, hide the chieftains and use Plagues.
