The Break Par Series is BACK! Dan Hendriksen & James Ruth are in Turkey at the beautiful Lykia Links. We will be attempted to break the par of 73, but we are playing off the black tees which plays 7,600 yards, the longest golf course I have ever come across. We hope you enjoy.

Walking. Talking. Thinking. Placing cameras, some more talking, a LOAD more walking (crikey what a golf course) all while smacking killer tee shots and playing, really, quite well. And all in probably fairly decent temperatures. The work rate you guys show is just phenomenal. You deserve everything this channel can deliver for you.

Loving this vlog. A lot of talk about how long the course is but I think teaching pros should play courses of this length to help them appreciate how golf is for the average golfer. The monthly medal at Thai Country Club is played off the blues at 6520 yards. The average bogey golfer is playing the same clubs off the tees and into greens as Dan and James are hitting in this vlog. We don't expect to hit many greens because we are hitting long clubs in, a fairway bunker will generally cost us a shot as we can't reach from it. Most if not all par 5s aren't reachable in 2. A couple of par 4s require 2 Sunday best shots to reach. Players shouldn't be hitting driver shot iron or wedge into every green.

That is an extremely long course. I wouldn't even play off the gold tees, let alone, black tees. Wow! You boys played quite well. I will keep James' suggestion in the forefront of my mind when I have my driver in hand: hit it as far as you possibly can. Another good suggestion he made was learn to aim correctly, not too far one way or the other. Enjoyed part 1, looking forward to the longer part 2. Cheers.

I know I’ve never played a course close to that long! Really enjoying the conversations and James always seems to enjoy explaining his thinking and sharing tips to improve which is wonderful! That course would be mentally exhausting knowing you have to keep crushing tee shots, and approach shots. Great job so far Dan and James has just been let down by the bad break on 1 and his putter. Back nine should be awesome and the course is spectacular!

Some great insight However does show that length becomes irrelevant if you don’t hole putts.. if James had putted like DH (best putter on KZfaq) he would have comfortably been under par.. would be interesting if DH played in from all of James tee shots.. see if the length makes a difference to him.. 👍
