Just love your videos. Brings back memories of my childhood when my family would visit my grandparents in North eastern Pennsylvania, in the US. My mother was raised on a dairy farm there. While the family sold the farm before I was born, we would visit my mother's old farming neighbors. They did things very differently. Their barns had to be enclosed nightly on all sides due to extremely cold winters and the barns had to be bucked out by hand, no underground pits. My late grandfather had fewer that 100 cows, maybe less than 75 in 165 acres. He never had a tracker. Instead used horses to plow his fields. If you visit America you should check out some of the small New England farms.

You’re a happy farmer Tom - love the working relationship you have with your Dad, I grew up farmin my uncles dairy farm on the Wirral until I joined the Army at 19 and always visited him on leave - the only job I didn’t do was a day’s ploughing, because I think it’s every farmers’ dream day being off work, whilst working hard into the dusk, or dark now lol. I’m talking mid 80’s to late proper labouring, but always back of the queue for 8 furrows - got me fit for war though pal. I’ve subbed because just watching you and Ginge brings all the smells, tastes and joys back, 31 years later - coffee with milk fresh from the cow!! You wouldn’t dare now lol. I couldn’t drive a modern tractor either, we had about 10 gears in 2 and 4 wheel for £35K!! My uncle tried to keep going, even farming rape seed at one point but as he got older and pre Uni summer labouring guys got lazier and nothing was done properly he lost heart and retired to the head herdsman’s cottage, sold everything else off that he could, and passed the land back to Leverhulme. Great videos mate, love the Case, always loved Massey’s and Ford, but you love what you grow up driving I guess, although I’ve taxi’d in a JD behemoth (bout the size of your Case) but massive compared to what we had lol. Anyway, have a good summer pal, fingers crossed for a 3 cut, or 2 ‘n’ a bit - we took it as we needed it cos there was no space to put it, may as well leave it growing. I loved the summers.
