I could have sworn 84 NL ROY winner Doc Gooden played in the LLWS. But I looked it up and apparently he led his Tampa team to the LLWS as the star pitcher but wasn’t allowed to play in Williamsport because he was only nine years old!!

Aww, was hoping we'd see a Derek Bell or Gary Sheffield who played in the 1981 Little League World Series finals against Taiwan. Then again Sheffield would qualify for a 90s-era All-Star category which I will continue pushing for.. Anyways, I got Jason Marquis because he was the losing pitcher in Tom Glavine's 300th win back on August 5, 2007. Can't believe you gave them the year and they still couldn't get Jason Bay.

I remember Schoop playing for the Twins. He hurt his back on a strike 2 whiff, and Luis Arraez came in cold to finish the at bat. The fans kept cheering louder every time he fouled off a tough pitch until he finally worked a walk and got a standing ovation. Maybe the most impressive walk I've ever seen. Schoop was still far better than Lynn and Marquis were in their lone season in Minny.
