Happy birthday Beau! Sorting out your setup isn't easy but over a bit of time, I'm sure it will evolve into a comfortable arrangement. The best part of what you are doing is NO TOWING!

Happy birthday gorgeous! Hope you guys have a great time. Real swags were things that you threw on the ground, crawled into and slept, all by yourself. Real easy stuff. Real fast. Pretty much as soon as you want to advance to a swag that you need to put poles and pegs into {especially for two}, to make it comfortable, what you really want is a TENT! I use a 9 foot by 9 foot, ONE POLE canvas TENT! I throw a double mattress on one side and we can stand up and get changed on the other. We're pretty happy for a few days in the rain with a good book. I know I am not "cool" and this isn't the advice provided by the 4x4 "experts", but I have crossed more deserts, gone to more remote places with my wife, all by ourselves, with far less gear, for far longer than most. Find what works for you (and the dog) and enjoy!

Back to basics, a lot of us started with a swag or a small tent. It's still a good way to travel. Wet weather or extreme heat is the only downside to this.

Yeah we are loving going back to how we really started and found our passion for getting out there. We certainly want to do our best to chase the better weather. 👍

even better with a stretcher under that swag, i use a 3cm memory foam topper becuase I'm getting soft hahah. The drying out part is the biggest pain b4 heading off.

We do need to look into a stretcher as a few people have said now how good they are. Yeah we are finding the drying off part a pain before packing up. 👍

You may have to zip tie a bag over the hose nozzle? Also, good luck with the hose in mud and dust.😊😊😊

Happy Birthday! As someone that spent 4 months in an XA panelvan and tent with 2 kelpies, and then 2 months in an HQ stationwagon and tent with the same dogs.... I'd get a camper trailer! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Happy Birthday, I love you videos. Did you consider a bigger tent. Or is the swag easier. We use an oztent4 but they are bulky

Thanks mate 🍻 To be honest we already owned the swag so we haven’t even really thought about a bigger tent, just kept it and run with it for now. The oztent rv tents are amazing aren’t they?!

We can either get a pet sitter, some NP’s have allowed dogs in the car park or we just give it a miss and go do something else that we can do with Luna also.
